Have you ever found yourself wondering:

🤔 “Is this perimenopause?”
🤔 “Why do I suddenly feel so different?”
🤔 “Is anyone else experiencing this too?”

Join us tonight for our FREE monthly Menopause Support Group, where women from across Sale, M33 and the surrounding areas come together to learn, share experiences and support one another through midlife.

Led by an award-winning Women’s Health Physiotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience and a specialist interest in midlife & menopause, (that would be me 😉) each session offers practical, evidence-based advice in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Finally it’s hump day 🙌🏼

This week is BUSY.

The kind of busy where you have 17 open tabs on your computer, the phone won’t stop buzzing, your brain feels like it’s overly full by 3pm and there’s music coming from somewhere 😵‍💫

Midlife & menopause can make that constant mental load feel even more overwhelming.

When hormones are fluctuating, many women notice:
🧠 reduced tolerance for overwhelm
😴 lower stress resilience
🤯 sensory overload more quickly
🔥 feeling ‘wired but tired’
🥹 needing more recovery from the exact same demands they’ve always had

Which is why I’m becoming increasingly protective of the little things that help regulate my nervous system during hectic days.

So for today’s choice?
✨ my favourite candle burning
✨ 5 minutes of breathing space before diving back in

No, a candle won’t ‘fix’ menopause 🫠
But small sensory cues such as calming smells, stepping away from the noise, slowing your breathing, reducing stimulation even briefly can genuinely help downregulate an overloaded nervous system, and allow your system to recalibrate, to calm a little.

Sometimes wellbeing in midlife isn’t about grand gestures, sometimes it’s just lighting your favourite candle and taking 5 mins with a few deep breaths 😉

I’m a little jaded today after a full on weekend teaching Matwork 1 Pilates to the loveliest group in the most gorgeous setting at Spire Nottingham ☀️

I’m loving being back presenting for and sharing my passion for Pilates with the next generation of clinicians and instructors - especially with groups as lovely as this lot ❤️

What a wonderful way to inspire, and incredibly fulfilling professionally for me as someone who’s taught Pilates for 20 years 😳 (when did that happen?!)

Many thanks for your truly hard work in providing such high level courses ❤️
