📍 **Finding us at The Luma Practice**

Heading to your appointment? Here’s everything you need to know. 🤎

We’re located at **1st floor - 169 Church Street, Eccles, M30 0LU**, in the former doctors’ building next to the Salvation Army. (Not in connection with wave wellness)

**Please use the St James Street entrance.** You’ll find the side entrance and black door at the front of the building.

🚪 **On arrival:** Ring the bell and your therapist will come to greet you. (Door maybe open- give it a try)

📝 **Reception & sign-in:** Our reception area is at the entrance - please enter your car registration at every visit.

☕ **Waiting area:** If your therapist isn’t there, please head to the **1st floor**, where you’ll find a waiting area. Take a seat and help yourself to a herbal tea.

🚗 **Parking:** The car park is at the rear of the building, so please allow yourself a little extra time before your appointment.

🌿 **Garden update:** We’re currently renovating the garden, so please excuse the appearance while we improve the space.

We’re having to keep updating our terms, and we wanted to explain why. 🤎

🤎 **A little reminder about our cancellation policy.**

We’re a small, very busy practice, and last-minute cancellations really do affect us.

We’re constantly turning clients away because we’re fully booked, but when you cancel within 24 hours or on the same day, we often have no chance to refill that appointment.

We understand that life happens, but please remember that our therapists at Luma rely on those appointments for their income & to keep Luma going.

**Imagine turning up for work and being told you’re not getting paid that day.** That’s the reality of a last-minute cancellation for us.

Our terms are there to protect our time and keep Luma running. Thank you for understanding and supporting our small business. 🤎

Understanding the relationship between the fascia, lymphatic system, muscles, tissues and circulation is an important part of understanding you and what your body actually needs.

This is why your first appointment at The Luma Practice is about more than simply choosing a treatment.

As fully qualified, advanced therapists, we take the time to understand your body, your symptoms, your history and what may be happening beneath the surface.

Because the treatment you want isn't always the treatment your body needs.

If there are underlying issues, inflammation, restrictions, swelling or other factors affecting your lymphatic system and tissues, simply treating the area may not give you the results you're looking for — and in some cases, may not be appropriate.

✨ Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) uses gentle, light, rhythmic movements to support your body's natural lymphatic system, helping to reduce swelling, fluid retention and encourage drainage.

✨ Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage (BLD) uses firmer, more sculpting techniques to stimulate lymphatic flow while creating more visible contouring and definition.

💛 Post-operative lymphatic drainage is completely different again. It requires additional specialist qualifications, separate insurance, and advanced knowledge to safely support healing after surgery.

Not every therapist is trained in every technique.
