Burnout doesn't always happen because you have too much work. 🤍
Sometimes it's the constant pressure.
The feeling that you always need to be available.
Never properly switching off.
Or simply not having enough time to recover.
Here are a few small ways to protect your wellbeing at work:
🌿 Take your breaks — your brain needs time to reset.
🫁 Pause throughout the day — even one minute to slow your breathing can create a moment of calm.
📱 Set boundaries — where possible, allow your working day to have a clear beginning and end.
📝 Prioritise — you don't have to tackle everything at once. Ask yourself what genuinely needs your attention today.
💬 Speak up early — if your workload is becoming unmanageable, don't wait until you're completely exhausted to ask for support.
🚶♀️ Move away from your desk — even a short walk can give your mind a much-needed reset.
🏡 Create a transition between work and home — changing your clothes, going for a walk or taking five quiet minutes can help you switch off.
And perhaps most importantly…
You don't have to wait until you're burnt out to start taking care of yourself.
Burnout prevention isn't about doing more.
It's about creating space to recover. 🤍
