In neuro rehabilitation, we don’t start with exercises - we start with observation and understanding. 🧠🌿

The first thing we look for isn’t strength or distance, but how your nervous system is responding to movement, your level of confidence, and how safe and sustainable activity feels for you. Every person is different, which is why assessment, pacing and individual goals are at the heart of specialist neuro physiotherapy. This approach allows us to build a programme that truly fits you, not a generic plan.

If you’re looking for tailored neuro physio support, get in touch with Orchid Rehab to see how we can help. 💚

💙 Men’s Health Week - 8th-14th June 💙

Men often wait longer to seek help for pain, injury, or mobility issues - but small aches can become bigger problems if ignored.

This Men’s Health Week is a reminder that looking after your body is not a weakness, it’s an investment in staying active, independent, and doing the things you enjoy. Whether it’s back pain, joint stiffness, sports injury or reduced mobility, physiotherapy can help you move better and feel stronger.

👉 Take the first step - book a physio check-in or encourage a man in your life to prioritise his health today.

Hot weather can feel uplifting - but for many people living with neurological conditions, it can also be more challenging than expected. ☀️🧠

Warmer weather, changes in routine and increased activity can sometimes lead to fatigue, symptom flare-ups or reduced energy levels. In neuro rehabilitation, pacing, hydration and listening to your nervous system are key to staying active safely while still enjoying the season. Small adjustments can help you maintain progress without overwhelming your body.

If activities are feeling harder than they should, we’re here to help you find the right balance - get in touch to see how Orchid Rehab can support you.🌿

Every rehabilitation journey starts with listening.🌿

At Orchid Rehab, we believe effective neuro rehabilitation begins with understanding your story - not just your diagnosis.

Over the past seven years, we have supported over 100 clients living with a wide range of conditions, including stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, spinal cord injury, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, complex trauma and chronic pain. 👥

Your first session focuses on getting to know what matters most to you. We listen carefully to your experiences, explore your goals, and carry out a detailed movement assessment to understand your individual physical and cognitive needs.

From there, we work together to create a personalised rehabilitation plan tailored specifically to you. No two programmes are the same - rehabilitation is shaped around your condition, your preferences, and the activities you want to return to.🌟

Rehab may include a combination of physical and mental exercises designed to build confidence, restore independence and improve overall quality of life. Progress looks different for everyone, but the aim is always meaningful, sustainable recovery.💪

Need a personalised approach to help you get back to what you enjoy?

Action for Brain Injury Week is about raising awareness and promoting understanding of the impact of brain injury.🧠

This week marks Headway’s Action for Brain Injury (ABI) Week - a vital time to reflect on the often life-altering impact a brain injury can have on individuals and their loved ones.

Brain injury can affect people in many different ways - physically, cognitively, and emotionally. Tasks we often take for granted, like walking, speaking, or using our hands, may need to be re-learned through intensive rehabilitation.

Importantly, not all effects are visible. Many people live with “invisible” symptoms such as fatigue, memory loss, or emotional changes, which can be misunderstood or overlooked. Raising awareness helps create a more supportive and inclusive society.

At Orchid Rehab, we work closely with individuals recovering from brain injuries, helping to re-establish muscle activity, restore function, and build confidence on the journey to greater independence. 💙

If you or someone you know is living with the effects of brain injury, then contacting Headway UK is a good first step for building a support network.

Access to treatment should never determine health outcomes. 🌍💙

On World Asthma Day 2026, the message is clear: access to anti-inflammatory inhalers remains an urgent global need.

Prevention, early management and equitable access to treatment are essential to reducing avoidable asthma attacks and improving quality of life.

At Orchid Rehab, we support people with asthma through breathwork strategies that promote calmer, more efficient breathing. Simple daily breathing exercises can positively influence both physical symptoms and overall wellbeing - why not take a moment to listen to your own breath and check where you are breathing - at the top of lungs or through the whole lung?🫁

Deep, regular, calm breathing can be a powerful place to begin.

Invisible doesn’t mean it isn’t real.💜

Today is International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, a time to raise understanding of a condition that is often unseen but very real. Fibromyalgia can affect people through persistent pain, fatigue and “fibro fog,” and validation and support are essential.

As a specialist Physio, I support people with a holistic approach - focusing on pacing, confidence in movement, and sustainable strategies rather than pushing through symptoms. Small, personalised changes can make a meaningful difference.

The message today and all days is that - if you’re living with fibromyalgia, you’re not alone - support is available.✨

What activities matter to you most? 🤔

In specialist physiotherapy, rehabilitation isn’t just about exercises - it’s about helping you return to the activities that make life meaningful. Whether that’s walking the dog, gardening, getting back to sport, or simply moving around your home with confidence, your real-life goals shape the rehabilitation plan.

By focusing on what matters most to you, physiotherapy becomes more purposeful, motivating and effective in supporting your recovery. 💚

MS Awareness Week in the UK, 20–26 April, raises awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and the realities of living with the condition.

This year’s theme focuses on challenging assumptions about MS, encouraging people to pause, listen and learn about symptoms that are often invisible, such as fatigue, pain and cognitive changes.

As specialist physiotherapists, we understand how the right rehabilitation and movement strategies can help people with MS maintain strength, mobility and independence. This important week - supported by organisations such as the MS Trust and MS Society - helps shine a light on real experiences and improve understanding.

Together, greater awareness can lead to better support for those living with MS.💛
