𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 “𝙤𝙛𝙛” 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪.

When your nervous system is stuck in fight‑or‑flight, your body is operating as if you’re running from danger, all day, every day.

And in that state, your body has one job: Survive the moment.

Your nervous system is reacting to life as if it’s dangerous, even when it isn’t.

There’s just:
👉the workload
👉the pressure
👉the caring
👉the rushing
👉the mental load
👉the “I’ll rest later”
👉the “I’m fine”
👉the quiet overwhelm you’ve normalised

And when your body thinks you’re in danger, it stops prioritising the things that keep you well:

✅digestion
✅hormones
✅immune function
✅reproduction
✅deep rest
✅repair
✅energy

This is why so many women 40+ feel “off”… even when their bloods look normal.
This is why symptoms creep in.
This is why you don’t feel like yourself.
This is why the prescription helps… but doesn’t restore.

Because you can’t heal in the same state you got unwell in.

Your symptoms aren’t random.

My reflexology face to face training is beginning at the start of September, so I’ll be looking for case‑study clients to help build my portfolio .

These sessions will be FREE, and I’ll need a mix of symptoms and conditions, perfect if you’re curious about reflexology or want to try a holistic therapy alongside your current routine.

Reflexology is designed to stimulate your nervous system, encourage deep relaxation, improve circulation, and support your body’s natural healing abilities.

It’s played a big part in my own health journey, and I’m excited to be able to offer it alongside my coaching in the future to support your wellness journey.

I used to ignore the early signs.
Yesterday, I didn’t.
Yesterday my body told me to stop, and I listened.

Before the symptoms hit, your body has already been trying to get your attention.

The body keeps the score long before you do.

By the time you notice the exhaustion that won’t lift, or the cold that won’t shift, your body has already been trying to get your attention for a while.

Those are the loud signs, the ones you can’t ignore.
But the quiet signs always come first:

👉 Your breathing has gone shallow
👉 Your jaw or shoulders have been clenched for hours
👉 Small things feel bigger than they should, a text, a comment
👉 Your body is tired but your mind won’t switch off

None of these feel urgent on their own.
That’s exactly why they get missed.
You’re not ignoring your body, you just can’t hear it over the noise of everything else.

The pattern doesn’t start with the crash.
It starts days or weeks earlier, in the signs that seemed too small to matter.

And I’ll be honest, yesterday this was me.
Cold, cough, and that uncomfortable feeling of not doing, the old pull of “I should be productive.”
I’ve reflected on this pattern so many times, and still… it’s a journey.

But yesterday, I noticed progress.
Jobs were left undone.
Training with deadlines looming was left for another day.
And instead of pushing through, I truly let my body rest.

That’s the work.
Not perfection.....awareness.
Not forcing.......listening.

Each time I ask myself:
What can I learn from this?
What is my body trying to teach me right now?

Ever notice your best ideas hit mid‑walk?

There’s a reason for that.

Movement clears mental noise and creates clarity in a way sitting at home never will. Your heart rate lifts, your breathing shifts, and suddenly the thoughts that felt tangled start to organise themselves.

I noticed this in my own life first, out on a walk or mid‑session at the gym, that’s when things click. The stuff that felt overwhelming when sitting trying to fatham them out became clearer when I was moving.

So I built this option into how I coach.

Instead of another session across a table, I now offer walk and talk coaching, a new way to work together that blends conversation with gentle movement.

We walk while we talk through an area you choose: sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, or a specific health challenge.

New environment, new perspective. Sometimes all it takes to see what’s possible is a change in how and where you think.

So why is it so easy to skip taking just five minutes for you?

Making changes can feel overwhelming when you're caught in a cycle of recurrent chest infections. Between managing symptoms, appointments, and everyday responsibilities, even small health goals can feel like a lot.

But you need to remember

👉 You don’t need to do everything perfectly.

• Maybe you're waiting for the “right” time to start eating healthier.
• Or hoping to feel more motivated before going for a walk.
• Or thinking you need to overhaul your entire lifestyle before starting anything.

That perfect moment might never come. And that’s okay.

Life is unpredictable.

Energy comes and goes.

But real progress happens when you take action anyway, even if it’s not perfect.

• Go for a gentle 10-minute walk, allready walking?
Why not try an exercise class?
• Swap one snack for a more nourishing option
• Drink a bit more water
• Get a little extra rest
• Ask for help if you need it

Small steps lead to real change. Small wins add up over time.

When “More” Stops Helping Your Body

There can be a point where movement stops being supportive, and starts becoming another form of pressure.

Maybe you’ve been training hard because you want to feel stronger.
Maybe you’ve been pushing because slowing down feels like “giving up”.
Maybe you’ve been taught that consistency means never missing a day.

But here’s what your body has been trying to tell you:

You can’t heal, strengthen, or build resilience in a body that’s constantly running on empty.

Over‑exercising doesn’t always look like what people think.
It looks like:

👉Waking up already tired

👉Feeling irritable or wired after workouts

👉Breath that feels tight instead of open

👉Training through aches because you “should”

👉Losing joy in movement

👉Feeling guilty for resting

Your body isn’t asking you to stop moving......
.....It’s asking you to stop overriding it.

Rest isn’t a weakness.
