There’s rather a lot happening in our little corner of Cheshire over the next few weeks - and this is where YOU come in!
Facebook has a funny old habit of showing a community post to 14 people, somebody in Australia and a woman called Ethel who visited Haslington once in 1987😂
So please give this post a LIKE, COMMENT and, most importantly, SHARE IT TO YOUR OWN PROFILE. Tag your neighbours, send it to the family WhatsApp and tell anyone who isn't on Facebook.

🌾🎪 1. HASLINGTON VILLAGE SCARECROW WEEK IS COMING!
📅 Saturday 19th – Sunday 27th September 2026
We're calling on Haslington, Winterley, Oakhanger and Crewe Green to get creative and help us fill the area with scarecrows!
Big ones. Little ones. Beautiful ones. Ridiculous ones. Ones that look as though they were assembled at 11.47pm after three glasses of wine. WE WANT THEM ALL. 😂
Get the neighbours involved. Why not create a whole street theme?
And PLEASE mention it to neighbours who aren't on Facebook - we'd love this to be a proper community event, not just a Facebook event.

They might look like tiny scraps of paper destined for the bin, but collectively they can make a difference - so snip them off your envelopes and save them for us!
And perhaps mention it to parents, grandparents, workplaces and friends too. The more people collecting, the better.

⚡❤️ 3. NEW COMMUNITY DEFIBRILLATORS - OFFICIAL LAUNCH

We're delighted to be officially launching potentially lifesaving community defibrillators.
Please come along and join us.
It's one of those pieces of equipment we sincerely hope nobody ever needs - but if somebody does, having one nearby can be absolutely vital.

And finally...
Haslington Support Group began during COVID with one very simple principle:
PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE.
Years later, we're still here.
Scarecrow trails might make people smile. Used stamps might seem like a tiny gesture. A defibrillator sitting quietly on a wall might go unnoticed for years.
But they're all part of the same thing:
A community looking out for one another.
So please help us get the message beyond the Facebook algorithm.
