There's a machine in this salon that most of you don't know we have.

It has been here for years, doing one of the most effective treatments we offer. We've just never really talked about it.

That changes this autumn. We're calling it Smooth by Summer.

Laser hair removal is relaunching this October, and this time we are doing it properly.

We've got two tanning solutions, and they don't work the same way.

Our regular tan develops over 6 to 8 hours, then it stops. Leave it longer, even overnight, and it won't get any darker. We have two different shades, mid brown and darkest brown.

Express is different. It keeps developing for as long as it's on your skin, which is exactly why we say a maximum of 3 hours, not 6 to 8. Leave it too long and it just gets too dark and will develop patchy.

When you wash the Express off, it's normal for it to look like it's gone completely. It hasn't, it carries on developing over the next 8 hours, so wash with plain water only and avoid shower gel or anything else for those 8 hours.

Not the same tan, not the same rules. Worth knowing before your next spray tan.

If you've never had a patch test with us, here's what it actually is and why we ask.

Before any lash or brow tint, lash lift and lash extensions treatment, we test a small amount on your skin 48 hours before your appointment. It's how we ensure you won't have any adverse reaction to the products we use.

Do you need to have a new patch test? If it's been more than 12 weeks since your last one, you'll need another before we can go ahead. Also if we were to change our products you would need a fresh patch test. Not us being overly cautious, just how these treatments work safely.

Patch tests are quick, and we'll always tell you in advance if you need one.

You get an extra ten minutes in bed now, thanks to your lash lift.

You'll love how it looks, here's how to keep it that way.

For the first 24 to 48 hours, keep it simple: no mascara, and no water or steam near your eyes.

After that, you're free to use whatever you normally would, oil-based products included, and you won't need a lash curler again until it's time for your next lift.

We've also got a lash and brow serum for in between visits, a clear gel you brush on morning and evening, a bit like conditioner for your lashes, keeps them hydrated and gives a slightly fuller look under mascara.
