I’m absolutely over the moon with the outcome of this patient’s treatment! ❤️👣

This patient had been so embarrassed about getting their feet out and wearing sandals, and had tried everything to get rid of these verrucas without success.

They decided to go down the Swift Microwave Therapy route, which involved 4 appointments, spaced one month apart, followed by a 12-week review.

We’ve just completed that 12-week review and both the patient and I are absolutely thrilled with the results! 🥰

Seeing the difference this treatment has made — not only to their feet, but to their confidence — is exactly why I love my job. ❤️👣

A regular patient came in this morning and said, “You have potentially saved my life.” ❤️

She may well be right.

As part of my initial assessment, I carry out a Doppler assessment to check the blood flow through the arteries and veins of the feet and lower legs.

During this patient’s assessment, I detected an abnormality that raised concerns about her circulation and warranted further medical investigation. Following her appointment, she was referred for further assessment and is now under the care of cardiologists, who have identified a problem involving her left ventricle, one of the four chambers of the heart.

It really highlights why foot health practitioners are so much more than ‘just feet’.

Sometimes, what we see in the feet can be an important clue that something else is going on in the body.

I’m incredibly grateful that I was able to recognise something that needed further investigation, and my patient will forever be grateful that I did ( her words ) ❤️

I’ve got a little helper in, the receptionist is off today. So I asked my daughter if she fancied giving it ago for the day to earn abit of pocket money. She’s only 13 and she’s already doing a fab job this morning although she’s very nervous bless her 🙈

Any thing to get her out of her bedroom in the school holiday’s 😂
