SEND & SIBLINGS SOCIAL - crafts and sensory play. in collaboration with Cosy Corner Creations🌈🎨
Every Monday & Tuesday
NO DIAGNOSIS NEEDED
These sessions provide access to the sensory room and also the craft hall to allow for maximum movement and aim to offer children with special needs or disabilities and their siblings an opportunity to socialise and focus on encouraging young people to find friendships, express their interests and have fun together.

This session also provides an opportunity for parents/carers and siblings to support each other & share experiences

Parents/carers are asked to stay for these sessions and MUST supervise children in their care at all times.

We hope that children will gain confidence in exploring their surroundings and enjoy interacting and exploring the multi-sensory space.

SEND Coffee mornings Every Monday 9.30am-11am . Guest speakers providing SEND advice and support each week.

Monday 7th September Durham County Carers Support will be available to offer advice on support available for parents and how to look after your own wellbeing.

💛 To every SEND parent as September begins and the new school year starts, we want you to know that we see you and we are here to support your journey 🌈

Social media will be flooded with first day back to school photos 🎒📚 but behind the social media front there are thousands of SEND families whose September looks very, very different.

SEND journeys are rarely straightforward.

Wherever your child’s journey begins with school, no school, waiting for a place, alternative provision, home education, EOTAS, reduced timetable, or still trying to figure out what comes next. Their differences, their needs, their strengths and their struggles are all valid.

Sometimes the bravest thing a family can do is recognise that something isn’t working and find another way. But sometimes, finding the right path takes time. 👍

There can be meetings, paperwork, waiting lists, appeals, phone calls, tears, guilt and exhaustion and days when you wonder how you’re going to keep going.

Another day another fight towards EHCPs, a suitable placement, transport, funding or the right support so that a child feels safe enough to learn.

There is no perfect SEND journey. There is only the journey that works best for YOUR child. 💛So please don’t compare your child’s September to someone else’s.

Sending love to every SEND family navigating September while trying to advocate, support, reassure and hold everything together. Please be kind to your self, keep going, one small step at a time- you’ve got this

And on the days when you don’t feel like you’ve got this — that’s okay too. ❤️

We are SO excited to officially open Expressions of Interest for THE SENDsational Runway 2026! 👑

This November, Little SENDsations are doing fashion a little differently.

We’re creating a runway where every child belongs. A runway you can walk, wheel, roll, dance, strut or be supported down. A runway where communication differences, mobility needs, sensory needs or additional support are not barriers, they’re simply part of making the event work for YOU.

💜 No modelling experience needed.
💜 Children can have support from a parent, carer or trusted adult if needed.
💜 We will work with families to understand sensory, communication, accessibility and support needs.
💜 Most importantly, you do not need to change who you are to take part.

And making the day even more special, our SENDsational models will take to the runway at an incredible event hosted by International Ms UK! 👑✨

This isn’t about being the “perfect model”.

It’s about confidence. Personality. Fashion. Fun. Representation. And showing the world that EVERY body belongs on the runway.

So whether your child would confidently strut the whole catwalk, wheel their way down, dance from beginning to end, need someone beside them, or simply have their own completely unique way of taking part…
