โ˜€๏ธ Sun Awareness Week | 11โ€“17 May โ˜€๏ธ
Childrenโ€™s skin is more delicate than adultsโ€™ and can burn easily โ€” even on cloudy days.
Help keep children sun safe by:
๐Ÿงด Using SPF 30+ sunscreen
๐Ÿงข Wearing hats and sunglasses
๐Ÿ‘• Covering up and seeking shade between 11amโ€“3pm
๐Ÿ’ง Keeping them well hydrated
Itโ€™s never too early to build good sunโ€‘safety habits. Babies under 6 months should stay out of direct sunlight.

๐Ÿ’š Mental Health Awareness Week โ€” 11-17 May ๐Ÿ’š
This year's theme is Action โ€” because awareness matters, but so does what we do with it.
As parents and carers, it can be easy to put your own mental health last. But looking after yourself isn't a luxury โ€” it's one of the best things you can do for your children too.
This week, we're encouraging families to take one small action for mental health:
๐Ÿšถ Get outside and move โ€” even 10 minutes makes a difference
๐Ÿ’ฌ Start a conversation โ€” ask someone how they're really doing
๐Ÿ“ต Take a break from screens โ€” yours and theirs
๐Ÿ˜ด Prioritise sleep โ€” it's the foundation of everything else
๐Ÿค Ask for help if you need it โ€” that's action too
Children and young people's mental health matters just as much. If you're worried about your child's emotional wellbeing, your health visitor or school nurse is a good place to start. ๐Ÿ”— nhs.uk/every-mind-matters
