Shake up your team’s training with Circle Case Management!
Our free training sessions are engaging, interactive and, most importantly, packed with practical tips, tools and advice you can actually use in your working day.
Our sessions are designed to be genuinely useful, combining clinical expertise with practical insight, real case examples and discussion that reflects the challenges your teams face every day.
But don’t just take our word for it…
“The trainers were great and delivered the training in an informative but professional way, providing lots of examples of real cases which helped to get the point across and reinforce the messaging.
It was also really helpful to hear about what they needed from us when giving instructions, especially thinking about some of the practical issues and details which need to be addressed to make the instructions for the assessor a little easier and something which may not always be at the forefront of our minds – thinking about it from their perspective!
The trainers communicated clearly and in such a way that allowed everyone to digest the information they were presenting and take it all on board.
Thank you once again for the session and I will not hesitate to contact CCM when I need any further assistance with capacity assessments.”

When does a hospital discharge become unsafe?

Poorly coordinated discharge planning can lead to avoidable deterioration, emergency readmission and potential clinical negligence claims.

In our latest article, Aya Amielle Pamittan, Nurse Expert Witness at Circle Case Management, explores the common points of failure across the discharge pathway and the evidence that can be crucial when assessing breach of duty and causation.

Aya is available for instruction across the UK, providing clear, independent nursing opinion in complex clinical negligence matters.

A safe hospital discharge is about far more than whether a patient is medically ready to leave. Poor communication, missing care arrangements, delayed community support or inadequate equipment can quickly turn a discharge into a preventable deterioration or readmission. In this article, Aya Pamittan...

Is Group Income Protection being underutilised?
Group Income Protection can offer far more than financial security during long-term absence.
In complex cases, early rehabilitation and independent expert evidence can help employers, insurers and legal professionals understand not only if someone can return to work, but how, when and with what support.
From vocational rehabilitation and workplace adaptations to future care needs, employability and loss of earnings, the right expert evidence can provide clarity, support informed decision-making and keep rehabilitation firmly at the centre of the process.
Our multidisciplinary Expert Witness team explores the role expert evidence can play in supporting complex Group Income Protection cases.

Supporting capacity.

Promoting autonomy. Making sure every person has the opportunity to be heard.

Mental Capacity Assessments should never be about simply reaching a conclusion of has capacity or lacks capacity.

They are about ensuring the individual has been given every reasonable opportunity to understand, process, communicate and demonstrate their decision-making ability.

In our latest article, Nichola Ryder Occupational Therapist and valued member of Circle Case Management’s Mental Capacity Assessment team, explores how her OT skills influence her approach to capacity assessments.

From adapting communication and using visual or practical resources, to considering the environment, sensory needs, fatigue and processing time, an individualised approach can make an enormous difference.

At Circle, our assessors place the individual’s rights, autonomy and supported decision-making at the heart of every assessment.
