Over the last few months, I’ve had the privilege of hosting private group sound baths for Breast Friends York, a wonderful peer support group dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive space for people who have experienced a breast cancer diagnosis.

I welcomed them here with the intention of offering a gentle pause from the demands of everyday life, in a tranquil setting that feels therapeutic from the moment you arrive.

Together, we journey through a deeply guided sound bath, allowing time for rest, reflection and relaxation. Afterwards, we retreat to the cottage for nourishing drinks, nibbles and, of course, a good natter.

One of the most meaningful parts of these gatherings is witnessing people share their stories, advice and wisdom from their cancer journeys. Connections are strengthened, friendships are formed and a sense of community grows. The positive effects extend far beyond our time together, creating ripples of support that reach others too.

It is always an honour to hold space for these conversations and moments of connection. ✨

If you are part of a support group, charity or community organisation and would like to arrange a private group sound bath and social gathering, I would love to hear from you.

📩 Please get in touch to discuss how we can create a bespoke experience for your group.

We often talk about making time to rest… but what about making time to play?

Play is not childish.
It is healing.
It is freedom.
It is creativity without pressure or expectation.

When we allow ourselves to explore, create, laugh, move, make music, paint, dance, sing, or simply be curious, we reconnect with parts of ourselves that everyday life can quieten.

Playfulness soothes the nervous system.
It helps us express ourselves fully.
It reminds us that joy is productive too.

You are never too old to play.
Never too old to imagine.
Never too old to create.

Give yourself permission to explore again ✨

This summer, I’m excited to share my creative sound workshops for those looking to reconnect through sensory play, creativity, art and sound.

Over the years, I’ve welcomed people from both near and far - as far as Africa,Costa Rica, Brazil, Spain and beyond.

One of the things I hear most often afterwards is how certain sounds take them somewhere familiar.

Back to the rainforest.
Back to the ocean.
Back to waterfalls and flowing water.
Back to their heritage.
Back to their roots.

For some, the sound journey awakens memories of home, nature, peace or a place where they feel most connected to themselves.

Sound has a way of travelling beyond words.
It can gently reconnect us to places, feelings and parts of ourselves that may have been forgotten for a while 💫🌿🌊

One thing I never expected when I became a sound practitioner…
Was just how powerful community would be.

Yes, the instruments are beautiful.
Yes, the vibrations are deeply grounding.
And there’s something primal and powerful about the rhythm of the drum…

But what’s stayed with me the most… is the coming together of people.

In a drumming circle, something shifts.
Strangers become connected through rhythm.
Hearts begin to sync. Energy builds. Barriers soften.

There’s something incredibly special about a group of like-minded souls, all showing up with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to just be.

It’s not just about sound.
It’s about connection.
It’s about belonging.

And in a world that can feel so disconnected at times… that feels more important than ever.
