Exciting and not to be missed!

Join us in conversation at Defashion Dorset on Friday, 24th May from 11:30am, featuring Lynne Franks and Fashion Act Now. Lynne Franks, a pioneering advocate for sustainable fashion and women’s empowerment, will lead a panel discussion, drawing on her extensive experience in initiating London Fashion Week, championing responsible consumerism, and creating global awareness campaigns.

Throughout her long and successful career, Lynne has significantly influenced societal awareness of various trends and shifts both in the UK and internationally. She positioned the UK as a global fashion leader by initiating London Fashion Week and the British Fashion Awards. Her extensive impact in the business world includes developing McDonald’s UK women’s leadership network, working with Tesco to engage their female customers through media partnerships, launching high fashion home shopping with NEXT, and advocating for responsible consumerism during John Elkington’s Green Consumer Week. Lynne also led numerous awareness campaigns for social causes, including the creation of Fashion Cares, which became the world’s largest fundraiser for HIV/AIDS under Mac Cosmetics, and worked with Amnesty International to raise global awareness of human rights through music.

Her books and workshops, including The SEED Handbook published worldwide in 2000, pioneered a feminine approach to business combined with personal empowerment, inspiring thousands of women towards sustainable economic independence. Recently relocating to Somerset, Lynne continues consulting, writing, and speaking on societal shifts and women’s empowerment while working on her new book, The POD Effect, and developing her Power of Seven workshops. Awarded an OBE for her services to business, fashion, and women’s empowerment in 2018, Lynne, now remains dedicated to her mission, balancing work, service, and personal enjoyment, and cherishing her role as a parent and grandmother.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from a true trailblazer in sustainable fashion and women’s empowerment. We look forward to seeing you there!

Don't throw that shirt away! ♻️Get a knickers make kit today and make knickers recycled from shirts or cotton dresses for Christmas gifts 🎁
Available as PDF pattern or kit

Our kit comes with a paper pattern, instructions and enough elastic and lace for 3 pairs of pants 🩲🩲🩲

Around 350,000 tonnes of clothing are binned in the UK each year.

It takes one and a half Olympic swimming pools of water to grow 1 tonne of cotton. WWF estimates a shirt uses 3000 litres of water and between 3 and 7kg of CO2 as well as human labour hours to cut and sew💧💪✂️

So when shirts get binned for having a bit of collar wear, a mark or even because a person just has too many in the wardrobe it's a big horrible waste of everything 🌎😭
Most clothing can't be industrially recycled but clothes can be recycled by individual people and SEWING IS FUN!

Buy a pattern kit today✂️🎁
Impress your friends with your fabulous knickers ✨️🎄

Thanks and for help making these
