🏫 Great to be back at Port Regis School this week delivering Emergency First Aid training to 12 of their staff!

⭐ A key topic we tackled was females and CPR.

🙋‍♀️ Did you know women are 14% to 27% less likely to receive bystander CPR than men? This gap exists because people often hesitate over fears about modesty and removing clothing.

The vital facts to remember: 🤔👇

- The technique is identical: Place hands directly in the center of the chest. Compressing breast tissue is normal and necessary. ❤️💪

- Survival overrides modesty: For an AED, you must remove or cut away clothing/bras for direct skin contact. ⚡🩺

- You are legally protected: Good Samaritan laws protect you when acting in good faith to save a life. ⚖️✅

Forestry First Aid on the curriculum today 📖

🚗 We visited the Countryside Service team for Wokingham Borough Council at Dinton Pastures Country Park to deliver a practical session covering catastrophic bleeding, tourniquet use, adder bites, ticks, casualty management in remote environments, and management of chainsaw and tool-related injuries.

We also refreshed CPR skills, always essential when seconds matter.

Well done to the 12 Countryside Officers who took part and are now better equipped to manage these incidents safely and effectively 👍
