π« Great to be back at Port Regis School this week delivering Emergency First Aid training to 12 of their staff!
β A key topic we tackled was females and CPR.
πββοΈ Did you know women are 14% to 27% less likely to receive bystander CPR than men? This gap exists because people often hesitate over fears about modesty and removing clothing.
The vital facts to remember: π€π
- The technique is identical: Place hands directly in the center of the chest. Compressing breast tissue is normal and necessary. β€οΈπͺ
- Survival overrides modesty: For an AED, you must remove or cut away clothing/bras for direct skin contact. β‘π©Ί
- You are legally protected: Good Samaritan laws protect you when acting in good faith to save a life. βοΈβ
