Masterful of Beauty Studio – Terms & Conditions Please read before booking your appointment.
1. Deposit
To confirm your appointment, a £50 non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit secures your time slot and is not refundable.
If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, the appointment may be cancelled and the deposit will be lost.
2. Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. With shorter notice, the deposit will be lost and a new one will be required to rebook.
3. Late Cancellation / No-Show
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment or failure to attend will result in a charge of 50% of the treatment price. This is due to short notice and difficulty filling the slot.
4. Outstanding Fees
Any no-show or late cancellation fees must be paid before scheduling future appointments.
5. Rescheduling
Whenever possible, we encourage rescheduling instead of cancelling. An appointment can be rescheduled once with at least 48 hours’ notice. Further changes will require a new deposit.
6. Top-Up Appointments
A top-up is performed for a fee of £50. Top-up appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice or missed completely may result in an additional charge. Frequent changes may also incur extra fees, especially if outside the recommended top-up time frame (6 weeks).
7. Aftercare
If the client does not follow the aftercare instructions, we reserve the right to refuse any future appointments. The outcome of the procedure can be affected by many factors, including improper aftercare, medications, the client’s overall health, skin characteristics (dryness, oiliness, sun damage), behaviour during the treatment (movement or difficulty staying still), natural skin undertones, alcohol consumption, smoking, stress, weakened immune system, previous PMU treatments in the same area, diet, tanning, swelling, or bleeding (caused by medication or health conditions). If additional touch-ups are required, a fee will apply, depending on the time elapsed since the previous appointment.
8. Previous Permanent Makeup and Skin Type
We focus on achieving the best possible balance of symmetry, colour, and shape while working within the limitations of any existing enhancement. If we are unable to improve the outcome, we reserve the right to decline the treatment unless the client agrees to have the previous permanent makeup removed or treated with laser.
For oily skin, we recommend ombré brows, as they provide better longevity, although they may require more frequent top-up appointments. The hairstroke technique works best on normal to dry skin and is not recommended for oily skin types.
9. Age
Clients must be 18 years or older to book semi-permanent makeup or any other treatments. Identification may be requested to verify age.
10. Medical Information
Please do not book brow or lip treatments if any of the following apply (unless previously discussed with us):
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Prone to keloid scarring
• Taking blood-thinning medication
• Retinol used in the past 4 weeks
• Chemotherapy in the past 6 months
• Roaccutane used in the past 12 months
• Injectable treatments in the area within the last 2 weeks
• Currently undergoing hospital treatment
• Planning to travel abroad within the next 14 days
Lips – Cold Sores:
If you have ever had a cold sore, even once, we strongly recommend taking antiviral medication 4 days before and 4 days after your lip blush treatment. Lip blush can trigger cold sore outbreaks even after many years. Medication can be purchased from online pharmacies such as Doctor Fox.
11. Health, Allergies & Consultation
Clients must disclose any allergies, skin sensitivities, or medical conditions before treatment. Failure to do so may affect results and will release the salon from responsibility for adverse reactions.
Every treatment is preceded by a consultation. The salon may refuse treatment if it is deemed unsafe or likely to produce unsatisfactory results.
12. Hygiene & Safety
All tools, needles, and equipment are single-use and sterilized to the highest standards. The salon follows strict hygiene protocols to ensure client safety.
13. Photos & Documentation
The salon may take photographs for documentation or marketing purposes. Client consent will be obtained before using any images.
14. Behaviour
Clients are expected to behave respectfully during treatments. Alcohol or drug use before appointments is prohibited. The salon reserves the right to refuse service in cases of inappropriate behaviour.
15. Attendance
Please attend your appointment alone, without children, guests, or pets.
16. Refunds & Cancellations by Salon
Masterful of Beauty Studio does not offer refunds for services that have been performed or paid for.
In exceptional circumstances, the salon reserves the right to change or cancel an appointment. In such cases, the deposit will be transferred to a new date agreed upon by both parties.
17. Non-Compliance with Terms
If a client repeatedly violates these terms — including requesting a refund of a non-refundable deposit, repeatedly rescheduling, no-shows, or failing to pay the deposit three times — we reserve the right to refuse any future appointments.
We value all clients and aim to provide excellent service; however, non-compliance disrupts schedules and causes financial loss. Clients who breach these terms will not be able to book further appointments.
18. Acknowledgement
By booking an appointment, clients confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions outlined by Masterful of Beauty Studio.
