Yesterday we hosted our MacMillan coffee morning! We sang, laughed, played games, won prizes and ate lots of amazing cakes!! Thank you to everyone who attended, donated money and raffle prizes, baked and bought cakes yesterday. We raised almost £500! 🙌🏻 Macmillan Cancer Support

Happy birthday to Megan for yesterday! We hope you had a lovely day! Megan joined us as a care assistant over 4 years ago but now is very busy keeping the residents entertained and busy 4 days a week with her activity programme. Her themed music mornings and craft sessions are a big hit with the residents.

Today marks the start of the season for Porter Dragons U17 whom we are proud to sponsor. Both Kathryn’s boys play for the team that she and her husband manage. Cameron is the keeper and earned himself MOTM today after making many brilliant saves. He’s looking forward to giving our football fans a match report when he’s next at work. Well done Cameron 👏🏻 🏆 ⚽️

A few weeks ago we had a visit from the Community Infection Prevention and Control team. Our audit report is now back and we’re thrilled to report we achieved 97%. The recommendations for the remaining 3% have already been resolved/organised and included adjustments such as new hand gel dispensers and an extra sharps bin in the laundry! (Really dangerous those towels and flannels you know 😜).

We had a lovely afternoon in Bakewell last week for one of our trips. Big thanks to Transport 17 as usual. 🦢🍦🚌 ☀️
