RSV VACCINATION NOW AVAILABLE AT TOTLEY PHARMACY FOR £99
We are pleased to offer RSV vaccination this winter. We have managed to secure a small allocation of vaccines at a reduced price, and are offering these to our patients at a reduced price. The price is usually £210, but we are currently offering this for just £99. We do normally get lots of queries for this every year, but clearly the higher price can be prohibitive, so I thought I would just put it out here that we have some at a better price.
What is RSV?
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common virus that infects the lungs and airways. In most healthy people it causes a cold-like illness. In older adults and people with heart or lung conditions, it can lead to pneumonia, bronchiolitis, flare-ups of asthma or COPD, and hospital admission.
Benefits of the vaccine
Greatly reduces the risk of severe RSV illness, including pneumonia and hospitalisation
Helps protect those most at risk, such as older adults and people with chronic conditions
Who is it for? Adults aged 50 and over. Our pharmacist will confirm your eligibility during a consultation before booking.
If you are eligible for a free NHS RSV vaccine, please check with your GP surgery first re available appointments.
