The “11s” between the brows are one of the most common concerns I treat — but it’s important to understand the difference between movement lines and static etched lines.

Anti-wrinkle treatment works by reducing the muscle movement that repeatedly folds the skin in this area. This helps soften expression lines and can prevent them from becoming deeper over time.

However… when lines have been embedded into the skin for years, relaxing the muscle alone will not completely erase them. The skin itself has physically creased and lost collagen over time.

This is where treatments such as CO2 resurfacing can be incredibly effective.

Using the DEKA SmartXide CO2 laser, controlled fractional energy is delivered into the skin to stimulate collagen remodelling, skin renewal, and resurfacing of those etched static lines. Over the following weeks and months, the skin continues to repair and remodel, helping soften and improve the appearance of deeper creases.

Many people ask about filler in this area… but the glabella (between the brows) is considered a high-risk area due to the vascular anatomy and potential complications. Because of this, filler should only ever be approached with extreme caution and is very much a last resort in experienced hands.
