This week I lost the ability to regulate⦠over a fridge.
What started as a simple trip for a discounted fridge slowly turned into two useless fridges, customer service queues, another long drive, a chaotic house, tiredness, overstimulation, and one of those moments where the nervous system finally says:
āEnough now.ā
Itās a feeling Iāve come to recognise strongly since menopause.
What once felt manageable suddenly doesnāt.
Not because we are weaker ā but because something deeper no longer wants to live in constant pressure, rushing, noise, and overextending.
We begin to learn what is no longer tolerable, and there is intelligence in that.
But, as I learnt this weekend, life can still catch us out.
Because there are always deeper layers.
New edges.
New levels of self-awareness.
Sometimes we donāt realise how much weāre holding until something tips us over the edge.
Which is why intentional spaces matter so much.
There is something deeply regulating about slowing down together.
Spaces to refill the inner cup.
To reconnect.
To soften the nervous system.
To simply breathe and be held for a while instead of holding everything else.
The Sweet Word Plenipausia Cacao Circle returns on 29th May ā an evening of cacao and chamomile, restorative meditation with Reiki, and meaningful connection.
If this feels like the kind of space of you right now, you're warmly welcomed to join us.
