Meet Sarah, a 39-year-old woman who joined us at Neu Living following a prolonged hospital admission with encephalopathy. When she arrived, Sarah was living with:
🔹 Cognitive impairment
🔹 Generalised weakness and bilateral foot drop
🔹 Choreiform movements affecting all limbs
🔹 Reduced balance and walking ability
💪 With a structured, person-centred rehabilitation programme—combining physiotherapy, functional task training, and upper limb rehabilitation—Sarah has made remarkable progress:
📉 10-Metre Walk: From 21s → 13s
📉 Sit-to-Stand: From 28s → 14s
🚶‍♀️ Now walking short distances with a frame and therapist support
🍳 Cooking independently in our therapy kitchen
🪜 Climbing stairs with reduced assistance
Her journey hasn’t been easy, but her dedication, combined with Neu Living’s multidisciplinary approach, has helped Sarah move closer to her goal of semi-independent living.

🌿 Rebuilding Lives After Stroke at Neu Living 🌿
Meet Danielle, one of our incredible clients here at Neu Living in Sheffield. In 2024, Danielle experienced a life-changing stroke that left her with left-sided hemiplegia—weakness that significantly affected her ability to walk and use her left arm and hand.
Since joining us, Danielle has been working closely with a dedicated physiotherapy team to rebuild her strength, mobility, and confidence. Thanks to Neu Living’s unique 24-hour rehabilitation approach, every aspect of her daily care supports her recovery goals—from structured therapy sessions to empowering support with everyday tasks.
Danielle’s recovery journey is far from over, but with her determination and the consistent support of our neuro care team, we’re confident she’ll continue to make incredible progress toward a meaningful life after stroke.
