When outer knee pain starts cutting your runs short, generic rest rarely fixes the issue. You have to build the capacity to handle the load.
Here are the 3 progressions we used this week to target the root cause.
1 Side Plank Leg Lifts
Why: Targets long-lever lateral hip strength and pelvic control.
To provide greater control at the hips and knee when running.
2 Reverse Planks with Knee Rotations
Why: Builds deep posterior chain strength while training dynamic rotational stability through the hips and pelvic floor.
3 Wall Squats (Double to Single Leg)
Why: Safely loads the quad and patellar tendon through a supported range of motion, transitioning into an isometric hold to build single-leg tolerance.
Stop waiting for pain to vanish on its own. Build strength and capacity to keep the pain away.
