This was our first time exhibiting at REHACARE and our first product launch. It's great to see the response to the Lana Collection.

The three Lana colours exist not just for personal choice but also so that the colours can contrast with the room it sits in.

Midnight Iris, Tuscan Poppy and Green Orchid provide flexibility whilst remaining complementary to the space. This is particularly relevant for those with cognitive or visual impairment.

Most people don’t want furniture in their homes that looks like it belongs in a hospital or clinic space. That’s been the only real option for 30+ years.

The Lana Collection is our answer.

Made from aerospace aluminium so it won’t rust and in 3 beautiful colours to allow personal choice.

Inclusive products, reimagined. Designed in Yorkshire.

STEPS Inclusive Design is now ISO 9001 certified. For anyone specifying assistive products for a patient, a client or a parent, it means our design, sourcing and manufacturing processes have been independently audited rather than self declared: material traceability through development and manufacture, documented supplier evaluation, and quality records that hold up.

Toby Chan, our Head of Design: "For us, achieving ISO 9001 is about demonstrating that we don't just design great products; we have the processes, controls and systems in place to ensure they are developed to the highest standards."

“Assistive” and “Beautiful” don’t have to be opposites.

Yet for decades, people have been asked to choose between products that work and products they would be happy to have in their home.

When design starts with dignity, it changes how a product, looks, feels to use, and how someone feels using it.

That belief sits at the core of who we are.

Inclusive design begins with real people and real stories.

Our first collection is named in honour of Lana, the mother of our co-founders Jules and Toria. It reflects our belief that inclusive design begins with real people and real stories, and that support products should empower, not label.

Too often, assistive equipment is named like a product code and purely clinical: model numbers and abbreviations that speak to conditions, not people. We began somewhere more human.

Our guiding question is simple - would we be proud to see someone we love using it?
