Wanting to share some wisdom and hopeful energy in light of recent events from two learned females I find incredibly inspiring. The first is the poem by Maya Angelou in the image and the second is an excerpt from Clarissa Pinkola Estès from her book Women who run with Wolves:
'In terms of the wildish nature of women, it is this normalisation of violence, what scientists termed "learned helplessness" that influences women to not only stay with drunken mates, abusive employers, and groups that exploit and harrass them but causes them to feel unable to rise up to support the things they believe in with all their hearts, their art, their lives, their lifestyles, their politics.
Their normalising of the abnormal even when there is clear evidence that it is to one's own detriment to do so applies to all battering of the physical, emotional, creative, spiritual and instinctive nature's. Women face this issue anytime they are stunned into doing anything less than defending their soul-lives from invasive projections, cultural, psychic, or otherwise.....the Wild Woman looks out on a forest and sees a home for herself and all humans. Yet others may look at the same forest and imagine it barren of trees and their pockets bursting with money. These represent serious spilts in the ability to live and live so that all can live'.
More power to the women waking up ❤️
More power to the women who are awake ❤️
More power to all of those rising up against fascism, zionism, gen0c1de and ecocide and all other 'isms' that marginalise and oppress. They have no space in a world that longs for peace and healing for all.
Have an amazing day lovely people ✨️
