🎗️ July is Sarcoma Awareness Month 🎗️

We're supporting Sarcoma Awareness Month to help raise awareness of this rare type of cancer.

Sarcoma is a cancer that can develop in the bones or soft tissues, such as muscles, fat, blood vessels, nerves, and tendons. Because it's uncommon, its symptoms can sometimes be overlooked.

Know the signs:
🔹 A lump that is increasing in size
🔹 A lump that is painful or larger than a golf ball
🔹 Persistent bone pain, especially at night or when resting
🔹 Swelling or tenderness that doesn't improve

Most lumps are not cancer, but it's important to have any persistent or changing lump checked by a healthcare professional.

Early diagnosis can make a real difference. If you have any concerns about a lump, unexplained pain, or ongoing symptoms, please contact the surgery or complete a triage request via our website.

Together, we can help raise awareness, encourage early diagnosis, and support those affected by sarcoma.

An amber heat health alert is in place across the South West until 9pm on Sunday 🌡️

Stay out of direct sunshine, especially between 11am and 3pm, as UV rays are strongest during these hours.

If you’re going out during these times walk in the shade, apply sunscreen, wear a hat, sunglasses and light, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothes.
