Hello and welcome.

I’m Gill, and I first trained in massage in 2001.

Over the years, my practice has continued to evolve through professional training, clinical experience and the many people I have had the privilege of working with. I remain committed to ongoing learning and development, believing that growth is a lifelong journey.

My approach combines clinical knowledge with holistic, person-centred care. I recognise that every individual brings their own experiences, circumstances and goals, and I believe treatment should reflect this.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I aim to understand the wider picture and tailor my approach to the person in front of me. Drawing on a range of therapeutic skills and approaches developed throughout my career, my goal is to provide thoughtful, individualised care and support.

My practice has also been shaped by my own lived experiences, which have helped deepen my understanding of the challenges people can face and the importance of feeling heard, supported and respected.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

Gill

Friday at Shropshire Health Clinic

My day started as a patient with Dr Serena Jones, who professional advice is invaluable and I feel really lucky to be able to combine looking after my own health alongside supporting others.

It’s been a full and rewarding week in clinic, alongside continuing my CPD and developing my scar therapy work.
Ongoing learning is a big part of being able to offer the best possible care.

This week some of the conditions I’ve supported clients with:

Post hip and knee surgery rehabilitation

Neck, shoulde, hip and lower back pain and restriction

Pregnancy and postnatal recovery, caesarean scar care

Plantar fasciitis

Stress, anxiety and nervous system support

Fibromyalgia

Emotional wellbeing and body–mind connection

Pre-marathon leg and hip pain

Many of these are things people put up with for far too long, but they don’t have to.

If you’re dealing with pain, restriction, or feeling out of balance in your body, I can help you understand what’s going on and support you back to feeling like yourself again.

It’s been a busy and reflective start to the year, a meaningful first quarter so far.

Grateful, first and foremost, for my clients , for your trust, your loyalty, and the relationship we built over time. It genuinely means a so much to me.

Alongside that, I’ve continued to grow professionally course supporting with Restore Scar Therapy in London,

…. being invited to represent the industry at Shrewsbury College,

…. and delivering talks and demos alongside my private work.

Fridays at Shropshire Health Clinic, working alongside a wonderful team in a beautiful environment.

Also making space for self-care, creativity, friends and family.

Excited for what the rest of the year will bring.

Spring brings growth, renewal, and change 💜

Scar tissue can affect the body in ways many people don’t realise.

As part of my ongoing CPD, I recently assisted on a Restore Scar Therapy practitioner course while continuing to deepen my own learning.

Scar therapy has become an important part of my work. I regularly support people with C-section scars, post-operative scars such as hip or knee replacements, and older historic scars that may still be creating restriction in the body.

Scars don’t just affect the skin, they can influence the fascial system, which connects and supports movement throughout the body. When fascia becomes restricted, it can sometimes affect posture, movement and even breathing patterns. Which I commonly notice.

Gently working with scar tissue and surrounding fascia can help restore mobility and support the body’s natural movement.

I truly love what I do and I’m always amazed by what the body can achieve with the right support.

Showing up as yourself isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it.

I’ve been thinking a lot about authenticity and connection lately. The two feel deeply linked.

The most meaningful connection doesn’t come from trying to fit in. It comes from showing up as you really are. Unfiltered. Not driven by fear of judgement, but by trust that the right people will recognise what’s aligned.

Now, in my 50s, I feel like I’m only just fully stepping into that. It’s taken life, growth, mistakes, and a lot of reflection.

Like many of us, I’ve known rejection. Not fitting. Being misunderstood. Not chosen. Even in business, competition has never sat well with me. I don’t believe we’re here to compete. I believe we’re here to bring our own individuality forward.

When people feel safe enough to be fully themselves, something shifts. The energy changes. Trust grows. Creativity opens up. That’s when something real happens.

Authenticity doesn’t mean everyone stays.
It means the right people do.
And that kind of connection is powerful.

What does authenticity look like for you right now?

The Importance of Myofascial Release for Jaw, Neck, Shoulder Pain & Headaches

During the winter months, I see a noticeable rise in jaw tension, neck pain, shoulder discomfort and headaches.

We naturally move less, sit more, and spend longer in sustained positions, at desks, on phones, or indoors and the body adapts to these patterns, especially during periods of prolonged stress.

Many of these symptoms are linked to restriction through the myofascial system, particularly the frontal fascial line, running from the jaw and throat, through the sternum, rib cage, thorax, diaphragm and hip flexors.

This front line can become shortened and guarded, not only due to posture, but also through long-held protective holding patterns. Over time, the body subtly closes, breath becomes restricted, and tension accumulates.

When I work with these presentations, I take a whole-body approach, releasing through the fascial line while supporting rib mobility and diaphragmatic breathing.

This helps to:

✨ reduce jaw, neck and shoulder strain and pain
✨ ease headaches
✨ improve breath capacity
✨ support nervous system regulation
✨ encourage a more open, upright posture

By allowing the body to soften and release old holding patterns, it’s able to adapt into a more balanced, supported state, with results that last.

Exciting news!

From January 16th, I will be joining Shropshire Health Clinic, a CQC-registered, private GP-led centre that brings together both clinical and holistic practitioners under one roof.

Led by Dr. Serena Jones, the clinic’s integrated, evidence-informed approach aligns beautifully with my own values: combining high-quality medical care with a holistic ethos.

This is a wonderful opportunity to bring my compassionate, person-centred, multimodal approach to more clients, supporting those with chronic pain and helping them explore options to feel better in their bodies.

Every session I offer is unique, guided by clinical knowledge and intuition, responsive to what a client presents on the day, and informed by a broader biopsychosocial understanding of pain.

My Fridays will be spent at Shropshire Health Clinic, collaborating with clients and fellow health professionals to provide truly personalised care.

DM me for appointments or enquiries, I’d love to hear from you!

I’m looking forward to expanding my work in a setting that fully supports this integrated approach, helping clients move towards better function, recovery, health, and quality of life.

Very grateful to everyone I’ve met on my journey so far..! Thank you ❤️

Pain isn’t just part of life.

Pain is something many people learn to live with.

With many years of experience I work with musculoskeletal pain using a clinical myofascial and person centred approach.

I don’t just look at symptoms, I look at the whole picture.

Pain can be complex and requires a multifaceted approach.

DM me to book an appointment or ask any questions.
