Spirit of the Drum & the Magical Realms of Imagination ~ a 4 part Drum Series
For beginners and those who are curious for a deeper connection to the drum and the imaginal realms. No experience needed, all welcome

6th & 20th Nov
For our first two weeks in October we will be working with Drum’s spirit, learning about how drum holds stories of the creature from which the hide belongs, elements, weather, the paths travelled on hoof and in herd weave a special magic through drum. The tree spirit of the tree whom your hoop belongs to, their stories of root and branch, bird and badger. We’ll be connecting deeply with the character, unique magic and voice of drum. Through journeying, learning how to drum a journey for yourself, your own drumming rhythm for your healing and well being, the healing power of drum how to clear space with your drum. For our second week in October we will explore how it feels to drum in circle around the fire pit out on the land -weather permitting.
For our two weeks in November we will be learning how you drum journey, in your own, special and unique way. How you dance into your inner landscape, your imaginal realms. We’ll be exploring how we use the power of setting intentions for drum journeys, meeting your Power Animal and/or Animal allies and helpers. We’ll be exploring how you journey, whether you are a sensory traveller, intuitive, visual, or absolutely anything else! We’ll then look at how you transcribe your journey, how you interpret, and whether you like to journal, sketch, write poetry or dream on your experiences. There is no wrong way, we will be going slow and being curious.
This is for those who are new or relatively new to the drum and journeying, or those curious for a deeper connection to both. Bring your own drum, or if you would like to attend but don’t yet have a drum - I have drums available to borrow. (If you need to miss one of the dates, I will cover this in a one~to~one session with you providing we can find a date/time that is mutually convenient.)
Absolutely no previous experience is needed, all welcome. The Snug is a cosy, beautiful private space , Nr Nesscliffe, Shrewsbury, there will be 5 spaces maximum. Exchange is £88 for the whole offering, or two payments of £44 - upon booking and the second payment of £44 due on the 1st Oct- email for this option. Snacks provided, but please bring your own drinks. All mats, fleeces blankets and cushions are here for you to use.
