Meet the Project Managers Behind National Ablepreneurs Day

The duo keeping the campaign calm, coordinated and full of heart
National Ablepreneurs Day is powered by lived experience, community spirit and a whole lot of teamwork. At the centre of it all are our two brilliant Project Managers, Charlotte Barltrop and Kim Moey.

Together, they guide our volunteers, keep the campaign organised, and make sure everything we create is accessible, ethical and rooted in real stories from disabled, chronically ill and neurodivergent entrepreneurs. They bring different strengths, but they work as one steady, supportive leadership team.

Charlotte leads on storytelling, community and outreach, while Kim focuses on accessibility, digital content and coordination. Between them, they make sure every part of the campaign runs smoothly, calmly and with kindness.

They are the people who hold the threads together: supporting volunteers, keeping communication flowing, solving problems before they grow, and making sure the campaign stays aligned with its values of inclusion, clarity and lived‑experience leadership.

Their partnership ensures National Ablepreneurs Day isn’t just a campaign, it’s a well‑supported, well‑organised movement built with care.

Excited about this Ablepreneurs a Finalist in The Small Awards for the Mission Possible Award. I cannot express how much this means to us for our mission to be recognised.

It’s a moment that says our work matters. That supporting disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent entrepreneurs is not only needed, but valued on a national stage.

Ablepreneurs® was built from lived experience, compassion, and a belief that business should be accessible to every body. To see that vision acknowledged in this way is incredible.

Thank you to everyone who has believed in us, championed us, and walked alongside this mission. This recognition belongs to our whole community — the freelancers, creatives, founders, and professionals who show every day that entrepreneurship can be done differently, gently, and with dignity.

Onwards we go.

Join Amanda Mckinlay and myself for a powerful conversation about The Ablepreneur Advantage, the mindset, and the lived experience behind building a business when you’re disabled, chronically ill, or simply done with the hustle‑culture narrative.

Also… bonus points if you notice the surname typo on the backdrop. Proof that real entrepreneurship is gloriously human.

There’s a difference between people reading your work… and people reflecting it back to you.

Today I’m having a conversation with someone who’s read The Ablepreneurs Advantage and giving them the space to share their honest perspective on it.

We’re recording it — the good, the bad — no edits — and I’ll share it later today.

No agenda, just an open discussion.
