There's a lot of misinformation surrounding ADHD medication.

Myth: Medication works the same for everyone.
Fact: Treatment is personalised, and medication is carefully adjusted to suit each individual's needs.

Myth: Once medication starts, no further reviews are needed.
Fact: Ongoing follow-up appointments help ensure treatment remains safe and effective over time.

Access to specialist support can make a real difference throughout your treatment journey.

43 years ago today, Miriam Palk started her journey into nursing and what a journey it has been.

The picture above is Miriam the week before she left home to begin her training, ready to embark on a career in which she has truly excelled.

And guess what? We’re incredibly lucky that her journey has brought her to ICG Medical, where she is our Chief Nurse.

Those of you who know Miriam will know that she takes on some of the most rewarding, but often intense, work day-to-day. She is calm under pressure, understanding when it matters and firm when it’s needed. Quite simply, we couldn’t do what we do without her.

Miriam, your passion for nursing after 43 years is genuinely inspiring. Thank you for everything you do for ICG Medical, for our people, and for the profession you clearly still love as much today as you did at 18.

Here’s to the next chapter and to many more years!

You may have heard the term "shared care", but what does it actually mean?

Shared care is an arrangement where your specialist and GP work together to support your ongoing ADHD treatment. This collaborative approach helps ensure your care remains coordinated while keeping your treatment under regular specialist review where appropriate.

At Key Medical Services, we're committed to delivering joined-up care that puts patients first.
