43 years ago today, Miriam Palk started her journey into nursing and what a journey it has been.

The picture above is Miriam the week before she left home to begin her training, ready to embark on a career in which she has truly excelled.

And guess what? We’re incredibly lucky that her journey has brought her to ICG Medical, where she is our Chief Nurse.

Those of you who know Miriam will know that she takes on some of the most rewarding, but often intense, work day-to-day. She is calm under pressure, understanding when it matters and firm when it’s needed. Quite simply, we couldn’t do what we do without her.

Miriam, your passion for nursing after 43 years is genuinely inspiring. Thank you for everything you do for ICG Medical, for our people, and for the profession you clearly still love as much today as you did at 18.

Here’s to the next chapter and to many more years!

Eid al-Adha is a time of reflection, generosity, compassion, and togetherness, values that are deeply meaningful across the communities we work with around the world.

As a global organisation, we’re proud to work alongside colleagues, healthcare professionals, partners, and communities from many cultures and backgrounds. Moments like Eid remind us of the importance of connection, kindness, and supporting one another.

To everyone celebrating across our teams, brands, communities, and global network, we wish you peace, happiness, and meaningful time with loved ones.

We’d also like to recognise those continuing to provide care and support through the holiday period. Your commitment to helping others does not go unnoticed.

Eid Mubarak from all of us at ICG Medical.

South Africa, what a week!

Last Saturday, we wrapped up our South Africa AGM 2026, bringing colleagues together for a week filled with connection, celebration, reflection, and shared ambition.

The AGM is an important opportunity for us to come together, celebrate achievements, recognise outstanding contributions, and spend time focused on the future we’re building. Our South Africa AGM gave us the chance to do exactly that, while recognising the incredible people and teams whose passion, hard work, and commitment continue to make such an impact across our business.

Throughout the week, there were inspiring conversations, well-deserved recognition, moments of celebration, and opportunities to connect with colleagues across teams and brands. More than anything, it was a reminder of the talent, collaboration, and shared purpose that continue to move us forward.

To our South Africa teams: thank you for your energy, hospitality, and for helping make the week such a memorable one. To colleagues across our wider global business, thank you for the contribution, passion, and teamwork you bring every day. Together, you continue to shape who we are and where we’re going.

We’re incredibly proud of everything achieved so far and excited for what’s still to come.

Here’s a look back at some of the moments that made our South Africa AGM 2026 one to remember!
