A little glimpse into a day at the clinic.

From welcoming patients through the door, to consultations, treatment rooms, injections, baby osteopathy and scar therapy, no two days ever look the same here.

What does stay the same, is the care behind every appointment.

We’re lucky to have a team of practitioners all bringing their own specialisms together under one roof to support our patients at every stage.

One of the most common questions we get is simply "what actually happens then?", so here's the honest answer from start to finish, with no mystery and no surprise back-cracking.

Pain is almost always the final chapter rather than the first. Your body can spend weeks, sometimes months, quietly working around an issue before you ever feel a thing.

Swipe through to see how that happens, and why the spot that hurts is rarely where we start looking.

If something's been niggling, come and let us trace it back to the source.

18 years of helping people move better, feel better, and get back to doing what they love 💚

Today, we’re celebrating 18 years of The Oast Osteopathy.

To every patient who’s trusted us, recommended us, supported us, or walked through our doors over the years, thank you. It genuinely means the world.

From one clinic to two, thousands of appointments, countless conversations, and an incredible team along the way… we’re proud of what The Oast has become.

And we’re only just getting started.

Here’s to the next chapter 🥂

Here’s something we see all the time 👇

Someone comes in with shoulder pain… and the real issue is coming from their hip.
Or they’re struggling with back pain that’s actually being driven by the way their foot is loading.

Pain doesn’t always show up where the problem starts.

That’s why we don’t just focus on the area that hurts. We look at how your whole body moves together and where compensation patterns may have started to develop.

Treatment looks different for everyone, but depending on what your body needs, it could involve:

→ Joint work
→ Spinal manipulation
→ Soft tissue treatment
→ Subtle corrective techniques

The goal is always the same: getting to the root cause instead of constantly chasing symptoms.

If something hasn’t felt quite right for a while, there’s usually a reason for it, and figuring that out is often the first step towards lasting improvement.

Two clinics. One approach.

Whether you visit us in Sheerness or Sittingbourne, the focus stays the same.

Understanding what’s actually going on, helping you move better, and giving you the time and support you need along the way.

No rushed appointments, confusing jargon, or feeling like you’re just another name in the diary.

Just experienced, hands-on care from a team that’s worked with all kinds of injuries, pain, and movement issues over the years.

If something’s been bothering you for a while, this might be the sign to stop putting it off!

If you only see an osteopath when something hurts… you’re already playing catch-up.

Most injuries don’t appear overnight. Compensation patterns build quietly over time, and by the point pain shows up, your body’s usually been adapting around the issue for weeks or even months.

That’s why we work with runners before it gets to that stage 👇

→ Releasing tight areas before they become injuries
→ Supporting recovery between training sessions
→ Using techniques like dry needling alongside hands-on treatment

Whether you’re training for a marathon or simply trying to stay consistent with your weekly runs, staying proactive nearly always keeps you moving better for longer.

If something’s been niggling for a while, or you want to stay ahead of injury rather than reacting to one, now’s the best time to start.

We’ve heard every version of “it’s probably nothing” 😅“I thought it would go away…”“I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time...

We’ve heard every version of “it’s probably nothing” 😅

“I thought it would go away…”
“I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time…”
“I just assumed it was normal…”

Truth is, most people wait far longer than they need to before booking in, simply because they’re unsure if their pain, stiffness, headaches or tension are “bad enough.”

Swipe through for the things people say before they finally come in… and what we’d say back 👇

You don’t need to have “serious” pain to come in, and sometimes having a proper conversation about what’s going on is the first step towards feeling better.

You stretch, it eases off for a bit, and a few days later you're right back where you started.

Sound familiar?

Here's the thing, tightness usually isn't really a muscle problem...it's a movement problem.

Your body's moving in a way that keeps creating the tension, so no amount of stretching is going to sort it out long-term.

That's why we don't just do one thing. We combine three:

→ Hands-on treatment to release what's already there
→ Pilates-based movement to help you actually control your body better
→ Rehab work to deal with why it keeps happening in the first place

Feeling better for a few days is fine. But that's not really the point, is it?

If something's been bugging you for a while, come and see us. We'll figure it out together 💬
