A shout out to these wonderful women who, over the past few months, have taken big leaps in building and growing their heart-led businesses within the walls of Holistic House Skipton ✺ Community Wellbeing Space & elsewhere!

To form an idea in your mind, nurture it, allow it to evolve and then to let it materialise is an incredibly vulnerability-inducing space. You best believe that before the seed becomes a flower it will first throw up all sorts of imposter syndrome, a hefty dose of ‘sh*t what if this doesn’t work?’, a nice dollop of ‘what will people think of me if I put myself out there in this new way?’. I always say that building a business is self-development on cr*ck!
It’s empowering, liberating, fun, terrifying, doubt-inducing and will show you painfully where you’re still existing in not enough-ness and the stories of your own shadow.

The classes will often be empty before they’re full.
You have no idea how to market yourself and your work until you do.
Word of mouth is a beautiful thing but first comes trust, and that can take time to develop.

Well bloody done to those who weather the storms of entrepreneurship & keep on showing up. I’ve done it - I know how it is and I salute you all!

I’m SO proud of these women in these photos and for everybody who works from Holistic House Skipton ✺ Community Wellbeing Space .

I’m SO grateful for them and for their choice to turn their own stories and journeys into offerings that change others’ lives… and believe me, they really, really do.
I’m SO glad that they all chose to turn pain into power, to allow the wound to be the place where the light gets in so that they can be a lighthouse for all the people who need their medicine.

Every Wednesday evening, 7.30-9pm a group of 9-15 men come to to just connect, breathe and simply ‘be’.

When I first approached Dan about this class I knew it was just what the town needed ~ somewhere men could come and move through emotions, sensations, patterns, habits, without needing to label it as ‘mental health’ or anything at all, really.

Since then Dan’s incredible offering has grown and expanded further and further, and it’s a joy to witness each week as they all arrive!

Well… it’s official 🥹

HOLISTIC HOUSE COMMUNITY CIC is born. 🌿

This little idea that started as a yoga space is becoming something much bigger: a community-led, not-for-profit home for wellbeing, connection, creativity and collective care.

There is SO much more to share about what we’re building next.

But today, I’m just letting this one land.

Holistic House Community CIC.
