Welcoming David Mitchell of Silverstreams Acupuncture ✨✨✨

David graduated from the CBIATC (China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Centre) where he was trained by some of the world’s leading acupuncture professors, gaining experience both on the hospital wards and in the classroom.

CBIATC is widely acknowledged as the best TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) academy in China which was founded in 1975 and authorised by the World Health Organisation.

David has also been coached and mentored by Stephen Russell (The Barefoot Doctor) who is, in David’s opinion, ‘one of the greatest healers / acupuncturists on the planet’.

Alongside acupuncture, David has recently qualified in Kinetic Chain Release, so is using our Sunshine Treatment Room to offer free sessions while he builds up his client-base in Skipton.

Hailing from Scotland, David is a warm, charismatic, and very highly experienced therapist. He also specialises in Reiki treatments too.

Currently David is only offering KCM from Holistic House but watch this space for future offerings, workshops and classes!

We don’t just say this as a nice-to-say platitude but completely remove the sentiment when you actually show up as (gasp) a *full human being*.

We mean it.

All of you is welcome here and we promise, we’ve seen a lot in this building. We can hold it, and if we think you need additional support we can’t offer, we’ll always try to help you in finding it. If you need to come to a yoga class one week and just lie on the floor the whole time because ✨that✨ is what your body is craving - stillness - you’re welcome here (truly we have people who do this and it’s so great). If you feel like ‘I can’t go to yoga because I’m feeling sad’. Bring it here - we’ll help you to sit with it and to invite it in with open arms… if it’s too big to feel, we’ll find stability in the structure of the here and now - the breath, the body and this moment.
If it’s something you’re ready to see, feel and step towards, you can explore that.

You’ll never be forced to do anything in this space… that much we promise you. But you’ll also be invited, always, to truly just be where you’re at. (We’re very used to teaching / to exactly who is in front of us and working to what you need in this building!). Challenge yourself through radical love… that’s the vibe 😉

A post-Ashtanga yoga class walk & talk today for these yoga teachers and !

Fun fact: we’ve known each other almost our whole lives! We went to primary and secondary school together, Louisa’s mum grew Bethan’s wedding flowers, and we lost touch for around 15 years (!) before Louisa walked into Holistic House a few months back and our friendship was rekindled as though no time at all had passed 🥰✨🌸🌀

Louisa has been off dancing her way around the world as a professional dancer, before settling back here in good ol’ Yorkshire teaching yoga around the area, and Bethan has been building and growing a business here at Holistic House, also teaching yoga to our community here!

The world works in mysterious ways! 👀
