Anna’s yoga classes are light hearted and down to earth with an emphasis on having fun and figuring out what feels good for your body. There is no set style and instead she blends mobility training with traditional yoga poses to help you improve how well you move. ✨ Strength & Longevity for Women ✨

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of teaching my Strength & Longevity for Women workshop at One Retreat Wellness, and what a fantastic morning it was.

We had a full house, and it was wonderful to spend time with such an engaged group of women, exploring how we can support our health, strength and wellbeing through perimenopause and postmenopause.

The workshop focused on evidence-based training and nutrition strategies to help women:
💪 Build and maintain muscle mass�🦴 Support bone density and long-term skeletal health�🔥 Improve metabolic health�🏋️‍♀️ Train effectively for strength, function and longevity�🥗 Make nutrition choices that support healthy ageing and overall wellbeing

The feedback was incredibly positive, and it reinforced just how important these conversations are. Women deserve access to practical, science-backed information that helps them feel strong, confident and empowered as they age.

I'd love to bring this workshop to more women and more communities. If you run a yoga studio, gym, sports club, school, workplace wellbeing programme, or community group, and feel your members would benefit from this workshop, I'd love to hear from you.

Strict pull-ups, butterfly pull-ups, and bar muscle-ups are the main skills we're currently developing in our Gymnastics Strength Class💪🏼

But before we get to the main work, we always spend time reinforcing the foundations. In this video, our members are performing hollow body holds as part of the warm-up, a fundamental gymnastics position that carries over into almost every movement we do on the bar.

The strongest athletes aren't always the ones doing the most advanced skills; they're the ones who consistently work on the basics. That's why we place such a strong emphasis on building solid foundations alongside skill development.

🔥 PLANK PULLTHROUGHS 🔥

A simple but effective exercise you can do at home using everyday items, in this video I’m using a tissue box, but you can also use a dumbbell, kettlebell, or any weighted object.

How to do it:�
👉 Start in a strong plank position�
👉 Keep your hips as still as possible�
👉 Reach underneath your body and pull the object across�
👉 Alternate sides while staying controlled and stable

Why they’re great:�
✅ Builds core strength and stability�
✅ Improves shoulder stability and control
�✅ Challenges balance and coordination�
✅ Helps strengthen the muscles that support posture and everyday movement

The key is resisting rotation, your core has to work hard to stop your body twisting while your shoulders stabilise your upper body.

Remember: you don’t always need fancy gym equipment to get a great workout in 👏

I’ll be teaching at the One Retreat Wellness Festival on Saturday 6th June at Highbury Hall in King’s Heath ✨

It’s a beautiful one-day wellness retreat with lots of different workshops, movement classes and wellbeing sessions happening throughout the day, yoga, breathwork, sound healing, mindfulness, wellness talks and more.

I’ll be teaching a workshop at 10am called Fuelled & Fabulous, an honest, evidence-based conversation around training and nutrition during perimenopause and post-menopause.

There’s so much confusing information out there for women, especially online, and what we’re now learning is that women’s bodies respond very differently to exercise, recovery and nutrition than men’s bodies do, particularly through midlife and beyond.

We’ll talk about what actually happens during menopause, what women really need to prioritise for long-term health, strength and independence, and how to support your body in a realistic and sustainable way.

9 years of Yoga with Anna 🧘‍♀️✨

I can hardly believe it’s been 9 years since I taught my very first class on Friday 5th May 2017 at Solihull Sixth Form College. What started as a single step into teaching has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

Since then, my journey has expanded beyond yoga to include personal training, mobility coaching, sports massage, and injury rehabilitation and I’ve loved every moment of learning, growing, and supporting others along the way.

To all of my amazing students and clients, past and present, thank you. Thank you for trusting me, showing up, and being part of this journey. Your support means everything, and I wouldn’t be here without you 💛
