I discovered this beautiful wild meadow on a peaceful solo walk last night — and this one even had a bench. The perfect little place to sit and contemplate life.

Why are my T’ai Chi classes a little different?

Because we don’t just move… we support the body to fully release.

At the end of each class, I play the gong.

After slow, controlled movement, the body is warm, joints are mobilised, and muscles have gently engaged and softened.

This is when the physical benefits deepen.

The vibrations from the gong can help:
• release residual muscle tension
• improve circulation and blood flow
• support lymphatic movement (the body’s natural detox process)
• encourage deeper, slower breathing
• reduce physical symptoms of stress held in the body

It allows the body to shift from effort into repair.

The movement activates the body
The breath regulates it
The sound helps it recover

So you don’t just leave feeling like you’ve exercised…
you leave feeling looser, lighter, and more at ease in your body.

Simple. Gentle. Just what’s needed. Please get in touch for my upcoming schedule.

I play the gong at the end because T’ai Chi moves a lot of energy through the body. The sound gives us a few quiet minutes to stop, settle, and feel the effects of the practice.

After all the movement of T’ai Chi, the gong gives the body a few minutes to slow down, settle, and absorb the physical benefits of the practice.

I remember the first time I saw Tai Chi being practised. I was about 12, and I saw it in a park in Marlow while visiting my Auntie Eileen. I remember thinking then how soothing it looked.

I personally started practising Tai Chi Shibashi because I wanted to find something that could bring me calm in the moments when I wasn’t in the mood to sit in silent meditation or lie still in a gong bath.

After years of anxiety, overthinking, and living in my head, I wanted a practice that could anchor me and slow my nervous system, while also allowing movement.

Tai Chi taught me to:

• Breathe into stillness
• Move with awareness
• Feel calm without forcing it

Over time, I began to notice the physical benefits too — improved balance, better posture, increased flexibility, and a gentle strengthening of the body.

And that’s exactly what I want to share with others.

I’m excited to share I’m now a certified T’ai Chi Qigong Instructor.

It’s something I have been working on quietly for a while.

T’ai chi is often referred to as ‘Meditation in motion’

T’ai Chi, meditation and sound/vibration meditation may look different, but they all guide us to the same place: a calmer nervous system, more balance, and inner resilience.

Meditate for Life: Still, Flowing, or Resonant

Different practices, one goal: a meditative state.

Meditation in motion, sound, or silence—choose your path….

I can’t wait to share this gentle, mindful practice very soon with you in classes and sessions.
