I keep a 'spare penny pot' on my desk at work and empty it every month, pay it into my bank and transfer the amount to a charity page. This month we have raised £9.54 in small coins. I will round it up and pop £10 onto my current Alzheimer's society fundraising page. Thank you, Ruth

Due to a high number of on the day or last minute cancellations / no shows this month I am going to have to start charging a non refundable deposit of £10 on ALL appointments. Despite informing clients that a 50% fee is incurred by cancelling within 24 hours I have today received a reply telling me to F.off when politely asking for this payment. To avoid such unnecessarily upsetting interactions a deposit will be required. I understand it is sometimes inevitable to need to cancel for emergencies, illnesses etc. and I hope the low fee of just £10 shows that I am considerate of this however as a small business the loss of finance through last minute cancellations can be critical. I hope all of my lovely regular and new clients will understand and support me in this new phase. Thank you, Ruth
