πΏ Today's Adventure πΏ
I Am allowing myself to feel.
Today, my heart is heavy.
Sometimes life brings news that stops us in our tracks.
Not only because of what has happened, but because of the way we discover it.
Today, I am reminded that grief comes in many forms.
Grief for a loved one.
Grief for words left unsaid.
Grief for relationships that never became what we hoped they would be.
And grief for the hurt that can arise when we feel unseen, forgotten, or left out.
For a long time, I believed I had to stay strong.
To rise above.
To keep moving forward.
But today, I am giving myself permission to simply feel.
To feel sadness without judgement.
To feel disappointment without guilt.
To feel love for the memories that remain.
Healing does not come from pretending we are unaffected.
Healing comes from allowing our hearts to acknowledge what is true.
So today, I am choosing gentleness.
I am choosing compassion for myself.
And I am remembering that my worth is not determined by whether others remember to include me.
My worth has always existed.
My love has always mattered.
And the bonds we share with those we love can never be taken away by circumstances beyond our control.
Tonight, I send love to my nana.
And I send love to my own heart too.
