We’re hiring: Facilities and Estates Manager

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Facilities and Estates Manager to work across our two care homes in the New Forest: Heartland Manor in Brockenhurst and Little Haven in Dibden Purlieu.

40 hours per week | Permanent

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing planned and reactive maintenance across both homes
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive PPM programme
• Overseeing statutory compliance, inspections, servicing and certification
• Managing contractors, quotations, specifications and works

Last Thursday’s cream tea went down a treat 🍓🍰

Residents could choose between plain or sultana scones, served with cream and a selection of jams, all enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee. It was lovely to see everyone sitting together, chatting and enjoying a proper afternoon treat.

We also made sure nobody missed out, taking cream teas round to residents who preferred to stay in their rooms. A big thank you to our kitchen team too, who made sure everyone’s dietary requirements were carefully catered for.

This afternoon we got creative with air dry modelling clay at Little Haven.

There was plenty of inspiration in the pack, with ideas and guidance to follow, but some residents preferred to come up with creations of their own. It was lovely seeing all the different designs take shape and having a chat as we worked.

A few members of staff stopped by and joined in too, which always makes these afternoons even more enjoyable.

Once the clay had dried, everyone was able to take their creations back to their rooms to keep. We finished the afternoon with a well-earned cup of tea and some cookies.
