Qualifications in art are not essential but must be able to show a portfolio of your artwork including pencil drawings etc, this is to show you not only have an existing interest in art but an understanding and natural ability to start with, after all tattooing is an art
Must be able to support yourself during the apprenticeship as the position is unpaid (as is industry standard)
Must be able to be at the studio at least 4 full days a week
Be a dedicated and driven individual
that understands learning is the whole point of the apprenticeship not to make quick money, and that it takes time and dedication to even reach the point where you will start to tattoo skin
Understand in return for the knowledge and skills that will be passed to you, jobs such as cleaning and supporting the artist will be required
If you feel you can meet all these requirements please send three images of your artwork that you feel represent your skills the most, as well as a short bio and why you feel tattooing is for you.
We will then select those who we feel are suitable for the place and interview you in person.
