What exercises should I be doing?
This is a common question 🙋🏼‍♀️ I get asked most days.
The answer is in asking, what do I need?
🧠Single sided movements
⚖️Balance and stability
đź’ŞStrength
đź«€Cardio
🚶‍♀️Mobility
If you can include some of these disciplines into your exercise regime each week you’ll be feeling stronger, capable and independent in life for longer.
Key components of longevity is to stay strong and heart healthy for as long as possible, staying mobile well into later life.
The NHS recommends 30 mins of cardiovascular đź«€ exercise, 5 times a week = 150 mins (break that down into chunks of 21.5 mins a day, a walk around the block, go up and down the stairs, a short hiit workout in your front room with no equipment) the choice is yours!
The NHS also recommends at least 2 strength training, resistance workouts a week. Either bodyweight or weighted, bands, anything that uses resistance on the muscles đź’Ş helping your muscles to stay strong as well as your bones.
