We have 3️⃣ Patient champion group walks in June 🚶‍♂️ 🚶‍♀️
All our walks start from The Royal British Legion in Blackfield car park at 12pm ⏰️

Friday the 5th of June - shorter walk approximately 2️⃣ miles on good firm footpaths 🚶‍♀️

Friday the 19th of June - longer walk
Around 4️⃣ .5️⃣ miles long 🚶‍♂️

Friday the 26th of June - 'Leg stretcher walk'
This walk is a more challenging walk at 9️⃣ miles long 🚶‍♀️
This walk will include a stop at the Royal Oak pub at Hill top.
Please note: this walk is challenging and may take around 4 hours, prior arrangements should be made to be picked up on route if necessary 😀

Everyone who comes along to any of our walks are encouraged to wear comfortable sturdy footwear 🥾
Bring water and snacks 💧 😋
Sunscreen if necessary 🌞
No need to book just come along and join us for a lovely walk in the company of others 😊 🚶‍♀️

Being a carer can sometimes feel overwhelming, exhausting, lonely or frustrating- but you don't have to cope alone.

The Patient Champions are launching a welcoming carers support group at St. Andrews Church, Dibden Purlieu, where carers can come together for support, advice, and friendly conversation.

📍 St. Andrews Church, Dibden Purlieu
📅 First Monday of every month
⏰️ 10:00am - 12:00pm
✨️ First meeting: Monday 1st of June

Whether you are:
• Currently caring for someone
• Have cared for someone in the past
• Supporting a loved one
• Or simply looking for advice and connection ...you are very welcome to join us.

☕️ no booking needed - just drop in for a chat with others who understand.

You'll have the chance to:
✔️ Meet other carers
✔️ Share experiences in a safe space
✔️ learn about local support services
✔️ receive advice and information
✔️ Build friendships and feel less alone

🚶‍♀️OUR NEXT GROUP WALK🚶‍♂️

📣 This Friday the 15th of May 📣
Meet our team at the Royal British Legion car park in Blackfield at 12pm.
This walk will be approximately 4.5 miles and will take around 3 hours 🚶‍♀️
Enjoy walking in beautiful surroundings and with the company of others.
Everyone is welcome, no need to book just turn up 😊

We have our first photography group editing session on Monday the 11th of May which will be held at Waterside GP surgery...

We have our first photography group editing session on Monday the 11th of May which will be held at Waterside GP surgery between 10.30am-12.30pm.
Some of this session will be dedicated to editing your own images and the ones we took at Ashlett Creek.
If you edit your images on your smartphone, laptop or tablet then that's all you need to bring with you.
If you have a digital camera that you would like to learn to use then please bring it with you and any user manuals you may have.
We look forward to seeing you there 📷 📱

Our Patient Champion volunteer gardening team who are currently working hard to enhance the gardens at Blackfield Medical centre, by creating a more welcoming space for both staff and patients to enjoy, would like to extend their sincere thanks to David and the team at Holbury Hardware stores for their generous donation of two water butts. This valuable contribution will greatly benefit the garden throughout the summer months and beyond. The entire team is extremely grateful for this kind support ☺️ Thank you 😊

📣 UPDATE ON OUR WALKING GROUP📣

Due to recent car parking charges our 1st Friday of the month walk that would normally start at Dibden Enclosure will now always start at 📍THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION CAR PARK IN BLACKFIELD. 📍
We will still meet at 12pm and will walk for around an hour at a steady pace.
So come along and join us this Friday the 1st of May at The Royal British Legion in Blackfield at 12pm 🚶‍♀️ 🚶‍♂️
