When food starts to feel like a maths problem, it can become difficult to hear anything else.

How many calories are left.
Whether lunch was “too much”.
Whether dinner needs to be smaller.
Whether you need to make up for what you ate earlier.

And somewhere inside all that calculating, the signals from your own body can get quieter.

Hunger gets pushed aside. Meals get delayed. Portions shrink. Energy drops. Cravings become stronger. By the evening, food can feel harder to manage than it did at the start of the day.

Then there is the mental side of it.

The constant checking.
The negotiating.
The guilt.
The feeling that every choice needs to be justified.

Pocket Power takes a different approach.

Rather than centring food around calories, it helps you notice the patterns around what you eat, when you eat, how you feel afterwards, and what happens to your mood, energy, symptoms and habits over time.

Because eating well is not just about hitting the right number.

It is about understanding what actually supports you.

And when food stops being something you have to constantly calculate, there is far more space to build a relationship with it that feels realistic, supportive and sustainable.

Pocket Power is completely free with full access. Available now on the App Store and Google Play.

“I kept starting over. Every Monday. Every ‘fresh start’. Every time I said ‘this time I’ll stick to it’.

And every time… I ended up back at the beginning.

I thought it was me. I didn’t realise I was stuck in a loop and I didn’t realise there were so many others stuck there too…”

That cycle can be exhausting.
Not because you are incapable of change.

Because constantly restarting teaches you to see every difficult day as proof that you have failed.

Miss a workout? Start again Monday.
Eat differently than planned? Start again tomorrow.
Lose momentum? Scrap the whole week.

And eventually, starting over becomes the habit.

Pocket Power was built to help people step out of that cycle by giving them something to return to, rather than another reason to begin from zero.

September is Su***de Prevention Month.

And while awareness months matter, the conversations cannot stop when the month does.

Sometimes the signs are obvious. Sometimes they are not.

Someone may withdraw. Their mood or behaviour may change. They may start talking about feeling hopeless, trapped or like a burden. They may simply seem different in a way you cannot quite explain.

You do not need to be a professional to notice.

You do not need the perfect words to ask someone how they are.

And if someone tells you they are struggling, you do not need to fix everything. Listening without judgement, staying with them and simply being there, and helping them reach the right support can matter enormously.

If you are the one struggling, please tell someone.

Call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night. You can also call NHS 111 and select mental health option 2 for urgent mental health support. If there is an immediate risk to life, call 999 or go to A&E.

More than 720,000 people die by su***de globally each year, and su***de remains the third leading cause of death among 15–29-year-olds.

Keep noticing.
Keep asking.
Keep checking in.

Sometimes a conversation really can matter more than we realise.

You keep meaning to pay more attention.

To the bloating that seems to come back after certain meals.
The afternoon crash.
The headaches.
The restless sleep.
The low mood.
The anxious feeling you cannot quite explain.
The extra coffee you now rely on just to get through the day.

But life is busy.

So you notice it, make a mental note and carry on.

And when something keeps happening gradually, it has a strange way of becoming normal.

Not because it has gone away but because you have got used to living around it.

That is how weeks become months.
Months become years.
And eventually you realise you cannot remember when you last felt properly well.

That is usually the point where people start looking for an answer.

But there is another place to begin.

With the pattern.

What was happening before the bloating?
What changed on the days your energy disappeared?
What did you eat before the headache?
How did you sleep before the cravings felt impossible to ignore?
What was happening around the days your mood dropped or your anxiety felt stronger?

Pocket Power helps you start connecting those everyday signals, so you can understand what may be influencing how you feel instead of waiting for each symptom to become impossible to ignore.

Because preventative health often starts much earlier than people think.

It starts when you stop dismissing what keeps repeating.

And start getting curious about why.

Most people don’t need another person telling them what they ‘should’ be doing.

Eat better. Move more. Sleep more. Drink more water. Stress less. Look after yourself.

We know.

The hard part is doing all of that while also dealing with work, family, money, hormones, health, relationships, exhaustion and everything else that comes with being a human being.

Because your health doesn’t happen separately from your life.

And neither does change.

That’s why we built my app, Pocket Power, to bring the different parts of your health and wellbeing together so you can understand your patterns, see what’s affecting how you feel and make changes that actually fit into your life.

Not a perfect life.

Your actual one.

“Listen to your body” only becomes useful when you know what the signals might mean.

The bloating.
The afternoon crash.
The restless sleep.
The headaches.
The cravings.
The mood changes.

On their own, they can feel random.

But over time, patterns can begin to appear.

Maybe the same food keeps showing up before the bloating. Maybe poor sleep is followed by stronger cravings. Maybe stressful days are the ones where your patience disappears fastest.

Pocket Power helps you bring those pieces together so you can start recognising what your body may be responding to, instead of treating every symptom like a separate problem.

Not to diagnose you.

To help you understand yourself better.

Because the earlier you notice what keeps repeating, the sooner you can start making changes that actually fit what your body is telling you.

“I stopped looking for something to ‘start again’ with.
And started looking for something I wouldn’t have to keep restarting. Something that worked in real life and not just when I felt motivated.

That’s the difference and that’s what actually made it stick.

That’s why I will continue to use Pocket Power and if you’ve been stuck in that same cycle… you’ll understand exactly what I mean when you use it.”

That feeling of constantly having to begin again is something so many people recognise.

A good week. A difficult day. A missed routine. Then suddenly it feels easier to abandon everything and wait for another Monday, another month, another fresh start.

Pocket Power is designed to help break that cycle.

Not by expecting perfect days, but by giving you structure, support and somewhere to keep going when real life gets in the way.

Your progress does not disappear because one day went differently.

Sometimes getting unstuck starts with having something you can come back to without feeling like you have failed.

There is a point in the day where good intentions usually stop feeling easy.

The morning has gone. Your energy has dipped. Work has piled up. You are hungry, distracted, stressed or simply done with making decisions.

That is often when the plan starts to unravel.

Not because you suddenly stopped caring.

Because motivation is easiest to rely on when you feel good. Real life happens in the hours when you do not.

That is why Pocket Power gives you something to follow through the whole day, not just something to feel inspired by at the beginning of it.

Your Pathway keeps the next step clear, so when the day gets busy, messy or tiring, you do not have to work everything out again from scratch.

Because lasting change is built in the ordinary moments.

Especially the ones when you would normally give up on the day.

Pocket Power is completely free with full access. Available now on the App Store and Google Play.

A new week can make change feel possible again.

You plan the meals. Decide when you are going to exercise. Promise yourself you will get to bed earlier. Maybe this is the week everything finally clicks.

Then real life happens.

Work runs late. You sleep badly. Lunch gets pushed back. You are stressed, tired, hungry and the routine you felt so motivated about on Monday starts slipping by Wednesday.

That does not mean the week has failed.

Lasting change is not built on feeling motivated every day. It is built by creating habits and routines that can survive the days when motivation disappears.

That is why Pocket Power focuses on helping you build change gradually, understand the patterns behind your behaviour and keep moving forward when life does not go perfectly to plan.

Because progress is not about how strongly you start.

It is about having something you can still follow when the week stops being easy.
