What is a skin tag? tag
A skin tag is a small, soft, harmless growth that hangs off the skin. They’re usually flesh-colored or slightly darker, painless, and very common — especially on the neck, eyelids, armpits, groin, or under the breasts.
They’re not dangerous and aren’t cancerous, but some people remove them for comfort or cosmetic reasons.
They often appear due to:
• Friction (skin rubbing on skin or clothing)
• Genetics
• Hormonal changes (like pregnancy)
• Aging
