👣 Check out this fantastic result following verruca needling treatment (consent to share this from the patient).

These photos show the journey from before treatment, through the healing process, to complete resolution.

This patient had been suffering with a painful verruca for many years, causing ongoing discomfort. Verruca needling works by stimulating the body's immune response, pushing the infected tissue deeper so the immune system can recognise and fight the virus more effectively.

Every patient responds differently, but this case highlights just how effective verruca needling can be.

👣 We’ve been a bit quiet on here recently… 👣

Since opening our new clinic in Rayleigh at the beginning of May, we’ve been keeping pretty busy. Alongside seeing patients, we’ve been finishing the decorating (still 🤪)

There’s also been plenty happening behind the scenes. We’re delighted to welcome Sharon, our new receptionist, to the team. She has been absolutely fantastic and has already made such a positive difference over the last few weeks.

We’re also excited to have invested in some new equipment to further enhance the services we provide:

👣 Gait & Motion technology – allowing us to assess movement and design bespoke insoles tailored to each patient’s needs.

🔍 A new dermatoscope – helping us to examine and assess different skin lesions on the feet and lower legs more closely.

We’ll be sharing much more about both of these in the coming weeks.

☀️ Finally, Rob is currently away on a well-earned break for the next few weeks and Sharon is also on holiday. If you call for an appointment over the next couple of weeks, please bear with me. I may not be able to answer immediately, but if you leave a message, I will get back to you as soon as possible and arrange an appointment at the earliest opportunity.

Rayleigh clinic is open! 🎉🥳
It’s quite possibly been the most stressful week of our lives but we’ve got through it thanks for our amazing friends and family and we are so pleased to be open.
We are shut at Eastwood for a few days this week whilst we catch up in Rayleigh but going forward Katie will be at Eastwood Monday and Thursday and Rayleigh Tuesday and Wednesday. Rob will be the opposite, Eastwood Tuesday and Wednesday and Rayleigh Monday and Thursday.
If you’ve called and left a message, we apologise if you haven’t got back to you yet. We have a wonderful receptionist starting tomorrow in Rayleigh who should get us back on track again 🥴

Yesterday we received this gift from a patient and it’s absolutely blown us away!

We always try to do our best for our patients, sometimes it’s just routine footcare, sometimes it’s surgical procedures, sometimes it’s just some advice - but to know we are making a difference to people is so rewarding!

We’ve had a busy and rewarding month continuing our professional development 👣

On 10th March, we had the pleasure of attending an anatomy course at a cadaver lab at Nottingham City Hospital. What an experience!

Working with cadaveric specimens allowed us to undertake detailed anatomical dissection in a way that simply isn’t possible elsewhere. Experiences like this are invaluable in enhancing our knowledge and improving the precision and safety of the treatments we provide in clinic.

We also attended a dermatology course in London with the Primary Care Dermatology Society (PCDS). With over 100 attendees—mainly GPs alongside a few fellow podiatrists—it was a fantastic learning opportunity and allowed us to look at and purchase the best equipment!

As podiatrists, recognising potential cancerous indicators on the lower limb is an important part of the care we provide.

We undertake these courses not just to meet HCPC requirements, but because we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care possible to our patients.

It was also lovely to catch up with our podiatry colleagues and friends from around the country 😊

We can’t share pictures from the Cadaver lab (which I’m sure no one wants to see anyway!) but here are a few pics of us at the courses 😁

Just a quick note to let our patients know that we will be closed on a couple of dates for the next couple of months.

As an HCPC registered clinic, we are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure we are providing the highest standard of care. We’ll be attending a couple of professional courses this month and also have some holiday pending and will therefore be closed on:

• Tuesday 10th March
• Thursday 19th March
• Monday 23rd March
• Thursday 2nd April
• Wednesday 15th April
• Tuesday 5th May

We are super excited to be taking over Grovewood Podiatry clinic in Rayleigh this year. Opening in May (🙏🤞)

Thank you for everyone’s support. We are not leaving Eastwood (we love it here 🥰) and will be working between both.
