Saw this post and whilst Andy isn’t a member of Southport Chat I thought I’d update u on this pier restoration.
They are currently undergoing the engineering work repairing the pier. This is in conjunction with Sefton Council. This will take approx 18months plus. Whilst the money is raised to repair and replace boards. This does not include widening it. Unless Andy had an extra £10mil plus to add a mile of boards and steel to the original?!
There’s been ideas raised. As always to the council. But will they listen?! If you know how to get Sefton council to listen to anyone, even if they’ve been involved in an attack in this town GOOD LUCK!
