Celebrating CARE HOME OPEN WEEK with complimentary Tea & Cake all week as our way of saying thank you to everyone who walks through our door!

Here is a little catch up of what we've been up to recently...

We had a very special guest speaker , Matthew, who came in to give our residents a wonderful talk about his career as a Pilot. It was truly special for Jim who made toy planes during the war, and for Richard who's family member works at British Aerospace and for Doris who's grandson is currently going through the same pilot training in Phoenix Arizona. We all thoroughly enjoyed the talk - Thank you 💕

We also have a fabulous picture of Sarah, showing off her incredible talent, her first ever hand knitted Blanket . What an achievement!

We've been indulging in chocolate and strawberries - because why not!
We also recently celebrated Diane's Birthday with an 0 on the end!
Happy Birthday to both Frank and Ralph this week 🎉

Soaking up the weather, and enjoying special moments together.

From relaxing in the garden and getting our hands in the soil, tea tasting, and a brilliant seated sports session with Rise.

We had a very special guest visit from Samantha Ash, all the way from the Isle of Man who delighted our residents with her angelic voice.

And a shout out to Debbie who raised over £280 for Queenscourt Hospice.

Jim enjoyed a visit to Ormskirk Rotary Club today, where he has proudly been a member for over 30 years. It was wonderful for him to reconnect and enjoy a lovely lunch. We hope you had a fantastic time!

Wishing Debbie — and everyone taking part in the Star Trekk Walk tonight for Queenscourt Hospice — the very best of luck!

Back at the home, we’ve been keeping very busy this week. Carpet boules has become a real favourite and has taken over our afternoons both indoors and out in the garden! Dominos has also been proving popular with residents. Alongside this, we’ve enjoyed quizzes, bingo, and some indoor gardening activities, making for another busy and fun week at Connell Court.

And a special mention to our two lovely visitors this week — therapy dog Len, who joined us for our residents’ meeting, and little Poppy, who brought plenty of cuddles and smiles to everyone she met. 🐾

We had a fabulous afternoon yesterday at The Bold Hotel, enjoying a delicious Afternoon Tea, with Live vocalist Dave Broe. Thank you to Julie Lawson BEM for hosting such a lovely event, and making us feel so welcome! We will definitely be back again soon! 🍰☕🎵

Happy St Patricks Day! 🍀

We've been celebrating today with Irish Music, whiskey cake, Baileys Bread & Butter pudding, washed down with a glass of Guinness 😋

As well as enjoying Irish Treats, we spent time decorating terracotta pots, a spot of gardening, and making the most of the fresh air on this glorious day.
