Today, Friday 9th October marks the first day of Baby Loss Awareness Week with the Wave of Light taking place on Thursday 15th October.

For anyone who doesn’t know, I lost my first born, Ruben, at just 1 day old. He was born on 27th November 2022 and passed away peacefully in my arms on 28th November 2022.

Ruben is my reason why. Ruben has made me the person I am today and he has changed my life forever. Losing my son was and still is the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced and as his mum, I will endeavour to continue to do what I can to honour his memory as well as those babies who have left this world far too soon.

To say I was in the darkest of places back then would be an understatement.

Oscar’s Wish Foundation is an incredible local charity dedicated to supporting bereaved families across Sussex following the loss of a baby.

They provide compassionate bereavement support, online support communities, memory boxes and memory bears, alongside resources for siblings and children. They have also helped create calm, private spaces within local hospitals where families can spend precious time with their babies.

They offer support with accessing specialist bereavement counselling and organise memorial events to bring families together, helping parents feel less alone in their grief.

Without their support and the services available to me, I genuinely do not know how I would have managed during the darkest days of my life.

Sadly, this is still ongoing. I am not the first and won’t be the last parent to go through this and the NHS do not provide the support required for bereaved parents. We rely solely on charities such as Oscars Wish, and to continue to provide support they need the funds in order to be able to do so.

So, in honour of my beautiful boy Ruben and Baby Loss Awareness Week, I will be holding a charity raffle from 9th - 31st October 💜

The prize is a 60 minute treatment with me at The Beauty Space by The Sea.

Every ticket purchased will help raise funds for Oscar’s Wish Foundation and the incredible work they do to support bereaved families.

How to enter:

💜 Tickets are £2 each, with no limit on how many you can purchase
💜 Comment on this post with the number of tickets you would like
💜 Send me a private message via Rainbow Holistics Hove and I’ll provide the account details for the charity collection
💜 Once payment has been received, I’ll confirm your ticket number

Please take a moment to like and follow Oscar’s Wish Foundation and Rainbow Holistics Hove to support both pages.

Even if you don’t wish to enter the raffle, sharing this post or leaving a little comment can help it reach more people and hopefully raise even more money for this incredible charity. Every little bit of support means so much.

The raffle closes on 31st October, with the prize draw taking place on 1st November.

This fundraiser is so much more than a raffle to me. It’s an opportunity to give something back to a charity that helped carry me through the unimaginable, while helping other bereaved families receive the support they need and keeping my beautiful Ruben’s memory alive.

Forever loved, forever missed, forever my reason why 🩵🌈

Have you ever wondered if that feeling of flying or floating in a dream could actually be astral travel?

I was thinking about this this morning and it took me right back to being a child.

I used to have these dreams where I could fly, float or levitate effortlessly above the ground. I would move through the air as I walked, completely weightless and free, as though gravity simply didn’t apply to me.

I remember asking my friends, “You know when you dream you’re flying or floating, and then suddenly you’re falling and you wake up with a thud?”

“Eerrm… no!” 😂

I genuinely thought everyone experienced this!

There were times when the flying or floating would suddenly turn into falling. I could feel myself dropping and being pulled back towards my body, sometimes waking up with a proper jolt or thud. It was such a specific sensation that it always stayed with me.

At the time, I didn’t know anything about astral travel. I just thought they were incredibly vivid dreams and assumed everyone had them.

Now, at 35 and as a psychic medium, I understand those experiences very differently. For me, there is a difference between dreaming that I can fly and astral travel. A flying dream is simply part of the dream itself, whereas astral travel has that distinct feeling of consciousness being separate from the physical body.

That’s what those experiences were like for me. I wasn’t just dreaming that I could fly. There was a feeling of being outside of my physical body, followed by that sudden pull back into it and abrupt awakening as if I had forcefully been thrown back into my body.

Then I remembered this morning that I did it again last night. Except these days I don’t wake up with that sudden jolt. It’s usually one or both of my daughters providing me with the rude awakening instead! 😂

It really made me think about how long this has been part of my dream life. As a child, I had no idea what it was, I just thought it was normal.

Looking back now, I recognise those experiences as part of my own astral travel experiences, long before I had the understanding or the words to describe them.

It’s amazing how something can be part of your life for years before you realise there might be a whole different meaning behind it. 🌙✨

Have you ever had dreams where you could fly, float or levitate?

🪞🐒 The Monkey and the Mirror

Deep within an ancient forest, where the trees grew so tall that their branches seemed to hold the sky, there lived a curious little monkey called Kavi. He was always searching for something new to discover. He climbed the tallest trees, followed streams through hidden valleys and wandered into places where no other creature dared to go.

One evening, as the sun began to disappear behind the mountains, Kavi noticed something unusual among the trees. Half-covered by moss and tangled vines stood an old stone archway. He had passed that way many times before, yet he had never noticed it.

Curiosity drew him closer.

Beyond the archway was a small clearing, and at its centre stood a beautiful mirror framed in ancient gold. It was unlike any mirror Kavi had ever seen. Its surface was perfectly still, as though it were made from water, yet nothing disturbed its reflection.

Kavi stepped towards it and looked at himself.

At first, he smiled.

The monkey in the mirror smiled back.

He pulled a funny face, and the reflection did the same. He danced, jumped and turned from side to side, delighted by his own reflection.

Then something strange happened.

The reflection stopped.

Kavi froze.

The monkey in the mirror was no longer copying him. Instead, it simply looked at him with gentle, knowing eyes.

Kavi stared at the glass.

“What are you looking at?” he asked.

The reflection smiled softly.

“You,” it answered.

“But I can already see myself.”

“No,” said the reflection. “You can see the face you show the world. I am here to show you what lies beneath it.”

Kavi wanted to run, but he found that he could not move.

The surface of the mirror began to shimmer, and slowly the image before him changed. He saw himself becoming angry when another monkey climbed higher than him. He saw the times he had pretended not to care when someone had hurt his feelings. He saw the moments when he had been afraid but laughed so that nobody would notice.

He saw his jealousy, his pride and his need to be admired.

For a moment, Kavi felt ashamed.

“I don’t like what I see,” he whispered.

The reflection looked at him with kindness.

“That is because you have spent so long trying to hide these parts of yourself.”

Kavi lowered his head.

“Does that mean I am bad?”

The mirror grew brighter.

“No. It means you are human enough to have shadows as well as light.”

Kavi looked again.

This time, beneath the anger he saw kindness. Beneath his jealousy he found insecurity. Beneath his fear he discovered a longing to feel safe and loved.

He realised that the parts of himself he had judged most harshly were not asking to be punished. They were simply asking to be understood.

The moon had risen by the time Kavi finally stepped away from the mirror.

He looked back one last time, expecting to see the same mischievous monkey staring back at him.

Instead, he saw someone he recognised for the first time.

Not perfect.

Not without shadows.

But whole.

From that night onwards, Kavi returned to the clearing whenever his heart felt troubled. He no longer went there to admire his reflection. He went there to listen.

And slowly, he learned that knowing yourself does not mean loving every part of yourself immediately. Sometimes it simply means having the courage to look honestly, without turning away.

The mirror had never been there to show Kavi who he should become.

It had been there to remind him of who he already was.

A creature carrying both darkness and light, fear and courage, wounds and wisdom.

And perhaps that was the greatest magic of all.

For when we stop running from our shadows, they no longer have to follow us.

They can finally walk beside us.

And once we learn to accept every part of ourselves, the reflection in the mirror becomes a little less frightening… and a little more like home. 🪞✨

🦁✨ Tarot Card of the Week - Strength ✨🦁

This week, Strength reminds us that being strong doesn’t always mean pushing through.

Sometimes strength looks like taking a step back.
Sometimes it looks like staying calm when you could react.
Sometimes it’s choosing kindness when life feels difficult.

We can be so hard on ourselves when things don’t go to plan, but you don’t have to have everything together to be strong.

Trust yourself. Give yourself some patience. You’ve already made it through things you once thought you couldn’t. 💜

✨ A little reminder for this week:
You don’t have to be fearless to be brave. You just have to keep going, one step at a time. 🌿

What does being strong mean to you?

🌿 The Whisper of Bamboo in the Wind

In a quiet valley surrounded by mist-covered mountains, there grew a grove of bamboo unlike any other. The bamboo was tall and slender, its green leaves brushing against one another whenever the wind passed through the valley. For many years it had stood there, rooted deeply in the earth, watching the seasons come and go.

The oldest bamboo had always listened to the wind.

Some days it arrived as a gentle breeze, barely moving the leaves. On other days it came rushing down from the mountains with such force that the whole valley seemed to tremble. The younger bamboo feared these storms. They tried desperately to remain upright, holding themselves as stiffly as they could.

“Do not bend,” they would whisper to one another. “If we bend, we will break.”

But the oldest bamboo simply swayed.

When the wind came, it moved with it. When the wind grew stronger, it bent lower, allowing the storm to pass over its slender branches. Then, when the wind had softened, it slowly rose again.

One evening, a great storm swept through the valley. The sky darkened and the mountains disappeared behind thick clouds. The wind roared between the trees, bending branches and tearing leaves from their stems.

The younger bamboo fought against it with all their strength.

The oldest bamboo bowed gently beneath the storm.

For hours the wind raged, but eventually the clouds began to separate and the first stars appeared above the valley. Slowly, the storm moved on.

When morning came, the younger bamboo looked around and saw that many of them had been broken. Some had snapped completely, while others lay scattered across the earth.

The oldest bamboo was still standing.

Its branches were tired and its leaves were covered with rain, but its roots remained deep within the earth.

One of the younger bamboo looked towards it and asked, “How did you survive when you were not strong enough to stand against the wind?”

The old bamboo moved gently in the morning breeze.

“I survived because I did not try to defeat it,” it whispered. “I listened to what the wind was asking of me.”

The younger bamboo did not understand.

The old bamboo continued, “There are winds in life that we cannot stop. There are storms that will arrive no matter how tightly we hold ourselves together. If you spend all your strength trying to remain unchanged, the storm may take you with it. But if you learn when to bend, you may discover that you are stronger than you thought.”

The younger bamboo looked towards the mountains, where the last clouds were beginning to disappear.

“Does bending mean you are weak?”

“No,” whispered the old bamboo. “It means you trust your roots.”

From that day onwards, the younger bamboo began to listen differently. They still stood tall when the valley was calm, but when the winds came, they no longer feared their movement. They learned to sway, to bend and to allow the storm to pass through them without believing that they had to become something they were not.

And as the seasons passed, the bamboo grove became known throughout the valley as a place of peace.

Travellers would often stop beneath its branches when the world felt too loud. They would sit quietly and listen to the leaves whispering together in the wind.

And if they stayed long enough, they might hear the oldest bamboo reminding them of something the human heart so often forgets:

You do not have to fight every storm.

You do not have to remain standing in exactly the same way.

Sometimes you simply need to bend, breathe and trust that your roots run deeper than the storm can reach.

For the wind will eventually pass.

And when it does, you will rise again. 🌿✨

🌙✨ Tarot Card of the Week - The High Priestess ✨🌙

This week’s card is all about trusting that little voice inside you.

You know that feeling when something just doesn’t sit right, even though you can’t quite explain why?

Or when you suddenly get a feeling about something and later realise your intuition was right all along?

The High Priestess reminds us that we don’t always need to have all the answers straight away. Sometimes we need to stop looking outside of ourselves and simply listen.

Give yourself some quiet this week. Step away from the noise, take a breath and notice what comes up.

Your intuition might already be trying to tell you something. 💜

✨ What is your intuition telling you this week?

A lovely review from a returning client 💜

Three reflexology appointments in, and it’s so lovely to hear how each session has been experienced 🥰

The best part of this review? Hearing about the little changes noticed along the way, particularly with flexibility and swelling
