Our Accessible Riding sessions are about so much more than learning to ride a pony. During each session, we encourage confidence, communication, and the expression of feelings in a safe and supportive environment.

This week, Arthur and Eva had fantastic sessions focused on developing these important life skills while having lots of fun along the way. They also enjoyed some special bonding time with their ponies, finishing their sessions with plenty of cuddles and affection.

We are so proud of the progress they continue to make, both in and out of the saddle! 🐴❤️

Yesterday we celebrated David Attenborough. We went on a wildlife walk across the fen and found lots of different plants, insects, birds and animals. We identified all the different bird songs using an app, we were amazed by how many different birds we have around the yard.

What a fabulous day we have had enjoying the sunshine, bathing ponies and eating ice lollies with friends.

Last week was a big week for our RSPCA second-chance pony Zazu. He has been doing so well with his training, so we moved up a step and introduced a saddle. In true Zazu fashion, he took it all in his stride like he had been wearing one his whole life and wore it while doing his desensitisation session with Marlie and Alice.
After all of this hard work, we thought he deserved a pamper, and he had his first beard trim. I'm sure you would all agree that there was a very handsome young gelding hiding under all the hair!

Our Friday Changing lives through horses group made the most of the sunshine today. This morning they put into practice all of their grooming skills and gave Jack a pamper before his driving session. Then this afternoon was all about team work and field care under close supervision from Bracken, although he did think that cuddles were more important than the poo picking!

Today Zazu our second chance pony had his feet trimmed he’s progressing so well . He’s fitted into the herd incredibly well and is happy to be part of gang.
Even our farrier has soft spot for him .
