For my next practise piece, I decided on a pair of headphones. I think its something that everyone can associate with day to day living, and it could be a nice addition to a bigger music themed sleeve etc.
I also decided to leave the smooth shading and realism to one side, I try something with a more sketchy look, with cross-hatching for the shaded areas.

For my latest piece, I decided on a small frog relaxing on a mushroom. This was a really fun design to work on, as I got to play with texture on the frogs skin, as well as some smaller mushrooms ghosted into the background. The actual piece is 50mm (H) x 60mm (W), and would be a good fit for a wrist or an ankle.

Hey. I'm back with another practise piece... Finally. I put my machine down for a few weeks for a bit of a break. They say what consumes your mind, consumes your life... so it was time for a bit of change. I have put the spare time to good use by starting my studio build, which is progressing nicely.
For this practise piece, I decided to do something fun, and dust off the cobwebs so to speak. What better than my favourite animated character. cc welcome.

Now that my tattoo course is complete, my goal is to get all my certification requirements and approval from my local council, and then I can look at my options... either work in a studio, or hire a chair in a studio when I have a booking... Either way, 2024 is on the right path.
This practise piece is titled 'Pool Hall Junkies', as it's my favourite pass time and definitely a happy place. It was good to pick up my machine after a few weeks break and get back into the swing of things.
