3️⃣2️⃣ blood pressure checks completed in Soham! 🩷

Sophie from Healthy You partnered with Naomh, Member Activator for the Co-op Community & Member Participation Team to offer blood pressure checks in Soham's local Co-op.

They chatted with shoppers about their in-store experiences, gave out helpful health advice, and further Healthy You referrals to those who needed them.

32 blood pressure checks were performed throughout the morning - that's 32 more people who now know, and understand, their numbers.

What a great opportunity to engage with the local community during week. Thank you Noamh, and everyone who came to speak to us! 🫶

We’re in the news! 🗞️

Dawn from the Engagement and Partnerships team performed 17 mini health checks at the Fenland Food Festival last weekend.

Attendees had their blood pressure and BMI checked and were offered practical, easy tips to keep an eye on their health - even when among such delicious food!

The Fenland Citizen captured the events at the festival, including some snaps of Dawn in action.

Know Your Numbers week is off to a strong start at Healthy You!

Do you know yours?

It’s finally here. Know Your Numbers! Week starts today.

High blood pressure often has no obvious signs or symptoms, which is exactly what makes it so dangerous.

Too many people wait until they feel unwell before getting checked. But by the time high blood pressure leads to a stroke, heart attack, or serious kidney damage, the harm may already be done.

And it’s not just something older people need to think about. Adults in their 20s and 30s should know their numbers too.

A blood pressure check only takes a few minutes and could spot a serious health risk early enough to act on it.

So this week, please help us spread the word, share our posts, and, most importantly, take a few minutes to check your own blood pressure.
