Monday (22nd June) was my third retreat and each time it just feels more special. We had the most beautiful mid summers day and spent the morning under the grapevines in the orangery, and the afternoon outside by the lake in the shade of a huge oak tree. Bliss!

Thank you to all of you who came and shared the day and made it so special, and to my daughter for taking so many lovely photos and putting this reel together for me.

I’ll be back at West Lexham on Monday 24th August for a 4th time, and there are still a few spaces if you’d like to come! ♥️

With temperatures up in the mid 30’s all week, we will be keeping it slow and low on the mat with some some cooling breathwork and some Yin (stillness / coolness) to balance out the Yang (movement / heat).
I do hope you’ll join me in a class! 🙏🏻

Don’t let a lack of space put you off growing your own vegetables. All of this salad was grown in a 1m square vegetable bed on my lawn, and herb pots on my patio. I have been picking fresh salad leaves for weeks now and this is baby spinach, kale, lettuce, chard, mustard leaf, garlic chives, sage, mint, basil, thyme and cornflowers (yes you can eat them!)

I could never get anything like this variety from a supermarket; it’s so fresh, has no pesticides, was grown in my own homemade compost, is really quite easy to grow and gives me so much joy as well as free lunches. Just keep it hidden from the slugs! ♥️

It’s exactly six years since I bought my little cottage (during lockdown) and I couldn’t be happier with the gorgeous outdoor space and small yoga studio that I now have.
There was no original plan, I don’t consider myself to be ‘a gardener’, it’s just evolved over the years with time and lots of love ♥️

This week we are back to moving around the mat, working on alignment cues from last week, and bringing them into our lovely energising flow sequence.

I do hope you will join me! ♥️

A citrusy, summer version of my fruit and nut balls, made with apricots, cashews, almonds, coconut, and lemon zest 😋

These sweet treats are nutrient-dense, no bake snacks made by blending dried apricots, coconut, and pretty much any nuts or seeds. They provide clean energy without blood sugar spikes, lots of dietary fibre, and heart healthy fats with no refined sugar so are perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. They keep well in the fridge for a few days.

These will be coming with me to tomorrow evening’s relaxation event, and served afterwards with homemade sweet mint and thyme tea. A nice change from my normal date and cacao balls….I hope you like them! ♥️

I have just spent 3 incredible days walking in The Lake District, feeding my soul. The weather was perfect for hiking, the walks challenging but fun, and the accommodation was spot on ♥️

This was my first time staying and it was a perfect base for some great hikes and served the most amazing breakfasts; I will definitely be back - soon I hope!

A Yin & Yang yoga practice uses short asana (posture) sequencing for active, heat generating movement (Yang) followed by gentle, long held holds (Yin). In hot weather, this style of yoga practice provides the ultimate balance: it prevents our bodies from overheating by cooling the nervous system, while offering a safe way to build flexibility without risking injury.

As the temperature continues to hit the +32C, this is how we will be practicing in classes this week. I do hope you’ll join me! ♥️
