We could not end our care home open week without acknowledging our amazing team .

The team that make our house a home were treated to some delicious sweet treats as a small token of appreciation for all their hard work, dedication, and compassion.

Every day, our staff go above and beyond to provide exceptional care, support, and kindness to our residents. We are incredibly grateful for everything they do and the positive difference they make in our care home community.

Thank you to each and every member of our team. Your commitment never goes unnoticed. Enjoy your well deserved treats! 🍩🍫

Foootballs coming (to Henbrook)home!

As part of our care home open week, we welcomed both the Priory Park under 13's and the St Neots Wildcats football teams to join us for an England warm up afternoon ahead of the big game tonight.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Residents and staff also got a chance to show their skills in our penatly shoot out and human table football.⚽️

Mini American burgers were the the half time food offering along with a traditional English strawberries and cream.🍓🍔

Lets hope there are as many smiles on the nations faces after the game tonight as there were earlier in the gardens here at Henbrook House. 😁⚽️

50 days and counting until our Miles of Memories Henbrook Marathon for Dementia UK 💙🏃🏻‍♀️

Henbrook House Care Home is taking on a marathon challenge to raise money for Dementia UK. Every mile walked, jogged or run by our staff, residents, and families is in support of those living with dementia and their loved ones.

Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

✨️The week that was✨️

Smiles all round here at Henbrook House on what was another full, fun week in our amazing home. 🏡

The childminder children brought in plenty of love and plenty of hugs to start our week.👶🧒🤗

We were delighted to welcome local author and poet Julia Stevens who enchanted us with her work and inspired us all into starting our very own poetry club.📖

Each month we schedule monthly activities and events into our enrichment programmes. This week we saw Rev Paul Hutchinson come in and offer a Holy Communion service.⛪️

We also had our well attended monthly activity and food meeting giving the opportunity for residents to have their say in all that we offer.🤝

Our outings took us to the Jordans Mill Gardens, the Wintringham walk and one to one personal shopping trips.

Back at home, we had a variety of activities including indoor croquet, nerf gun fun, virtual table interaction, giant connect 4 and pamper time with Jade.

We finished the week with a good ol knees up with the entertaining sing-a-long sounds of Charlie Chaplin. 🎤🎹

With 3 exercise classes and a visit from the adorable peggy the pup and Henny n Brook, it made for yet another wonderful week here at Happy Henbrook.

✨️Where theres a wheel theres a way.✨️

Staff at Henbrook House were treated to an unexpected car cleaning service this week from our Connaught Care central office team.

Michelle Bladen, our Regional Operations and Quality Director along with our Head of People
Lawrence Feather, braved the awful weather at times to ensure all cars were left sparkling clean.✨️🚗🪣🧽

We did question with the amount of rain whether a hose was even needed at all? 🤣🌧

Never the less both showed the committed value approach of what we do each and every day here in our wonderful homes.

Thank you Michelle and Lawrence for your amazing effort and we hope you managed to dry off and get warm again. 👏👏

World cup fever hits Henbrook!

Today Henbrook House celebrated with the first of our around the world themed days.. First up, one of the host nations that kick things off this evening.. Mexico!

With themed word searches, a residents world cup draw and a fun sombrero clay making session, our residents and staff really got into the latino spirit 🇲🇽

For lunch today everyone was treated to a mexican theme 3 course meal including:

✨️Mexican bean and red pepper soup

✨️Soft Taco with Guacomole, mixed beans and soured cream 🌮

✨️Chipotle Chicken power bowl🍲

✨️Cinnamon Churros and chocolate sauce

And to top off the day, we had a resident birthday served up by our very own Mexican Events co-ordinator

At Henbrook House we marked the 82nd anniversary of D-Day with a trip to the all inspiring American Cemetry in Cambridge.🇺🇲🇬🇧

Truly moving to see the human sacrifice made not just during the Normandy operation but throughout the war campaign.

Back at home, a themed wordsearch and the showing of 'The Longest Day' was our feature film in Cinema, whilst out in the grdens we planted a Amelanchier Lae Snowflake memorial tree to remember those that we have lost.
